Would you stop TTC to be a bridesmaid?

Hello, need some views please...our BFs are getting married next June. I'm a bridesmaid and my hubby is an usher. We've been TTC #2 for 6 mo with no luck yet. If we fall this cycle the baby will be due the week of their wedding. I won't be allowed to go overdue due to a medical condition so basically it's v unluckily we could attend the wedding. Feeling mixed about it and wonder whether we should skip a cycle? I'd be heavily pregnant otherwise but at least we would be there. What would you do?

I was threatened by my friend's mum when I was brides maid at her wedding lol! "No sex" was the gist of the threat :P

Personally, if if it was my best friend I was talk to her about it. At the end of the day you don't want to put your life on hold in case you have trouble later down the line conceiving but at the same time, her wedding is a special day for her. Maybe ask if you can still be involved but not a bridesmaid if you are concerned about photo's etc?

I've been TTC number 2 for almost a year and I wouldn't miss a cycle for anything BUT my cycles are really long so it'd mean waiting 8-12 weeks to TTC again.

it is entirely up to you, if you're only missing one 4 week cycle I'd maybe do it.

i wouldn't stop TTC - my best friend had a LONG engagement and i had to put my life on hold for nearly 2 years for random Saturdays running here and there, had to book days off work to travel to wedding fayres, by the time the day arrived i was exhausted!

AND i wasn't allowed to cut my hair! i can't believe i went along with that - i looked like COUSIN IT.

she wasn't there for me when i got married or miscarried - maybe your friend is nicer than mine - but i know now DH and I are the most important ones - i just think about us Smile

If it's just one cycle and they are good friends then I'd probably do it

No I wouldn't. Why should I put my dream on hold for someone else's. You can't put your life on hold. It's not how life works
