Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone had any words of advice ?

I have pcos and irregular cycles.
My LMP was 27th august and lasted 4 days on cd13 I was experiencing cramping and on a whimp poas and got a BFP. Over the last 2 weeks I've had cramping and spotting I contacted the epu and they advices to wait until Monday this week and if still BFP they'll scan me.

Had internal scan today and they could not find anything so said likely misscarrige but will do bloods today and Friday to check hcg. Just got my phone call from them informing me that my hcg is 29.9 and they have cancelled my blood test on Friday as this level is so low it confirms it is definitely a misscarrige.

I'm gutted I knew I was high risk due to finding out early and my pcos but I was secretly hoping it would be a sticky bean as it's the first BFP after casually trying for 2 years.

So what now ? When can we start trying again. ?

Should they be heavy blood loss with a misscarrige similar to a period ?

And how long will I test positive for ? I had a positive test this morning.

I know I should if asked all this today with the nurse but my mind went blank.

Thanks

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage :(
Trying again - Dr's suggest waiting until your next LMP simply so they can date your next pregnancy no reason for you to not try again as soon as you want to.
Blood loss - Everyone's is different but yes it would be similar to a period, your next period might be different too.
Positive test - Mine was a late miscarriage and took 3 weeks for a negative because your levels are fairly low it shouldn't take to long, wait a week and try again.

Are you on metformin for the pcos. In theory it can reduce miscarriage risk with pcos.

My LMP was 23rd August and yesterday I started bleeding. My hcg levels are low, I didn't ask what figure they were. So our dates are similiar, I do desperately want another child but I don't know if I can go through this again yet. Sad
