Getting pregnant after coil/depo

Hi

My coil came out on the 22nd of August it fell out after only being in a short while but we have decided to try anyway. Prior to this in April my last one came out, at that time I wasn't ready and had the Depo injection until they could fit another one.

After the coil coming out I bled for a week and my body acted as if it was a period. We have been having sex as normal, no monitoring etc

I would have expected my period to show up on the 20th or so but it hasn't so far and pregnancy tests show BFN but I have had lots of pregnancy symptoms. So I am confused, I know it is practically impossible but why is my body displaying symptoms and what can I do to boost my fertility and remove the effects of the Depo?

Hi Chocolate,

After any contraception it often takes a few months for your cycles to settle.

The depo can cause alot of problems and they often say it can take a year or more to get pregnant after it, (I was on it for 10 years and been ttc 1 for 18 months).

There isnt anything you can do but wait for your body to restart itself.

Buy some cheap ovulation tests off amazon/ebay and see if your ovulating.

Pregnancy symptoms or literally the same as AF symptoms so its normal.
