Trying to conceive after cerazette

Hi all,

I am new to the board and would like to find out other experiences people are having / have had when trying to conceive after taking cerazette.

The last pill i took was 21st August and since then I have had so many different feelings! I had a bleed for a few days a week or so after coming off- presuming either withdrawal bleed or potentially first period.

I am pretty sure (due to signs) that i ovulated on / around 13th of this month.

Since stopping I have all kinds of symptoms - sore lady bumps, moods (up and down), my skin is not as dry, bloating unbelievably and weight gain. All down to coming off the pill (tests done).

Since what I think was ovulation I have had a bit of a weird, dark blood that is only there when I wipe. Took a test, negative.

This will be my first, so I was wanting to know me experiences with this pill, along with some advice on trying to conceive.

Thanks
Kezaroo Smile

Hi
I have been experiencing strange symptoms after coming off Cerazette too.

I have read that it can take awhile for your body to adjust.

My first month off it I had bad cramps and no bleeding for ages. Which was strange as I would bleed on and off for weeks if I missed one!

I also had cramps, sore boobs and a change in my body fluid.

I have just finishing my first full month cycle since coming off and again have bad cramps, one sign of spotting (which was quite dark) and have gone off red wine... Which is definitely not like me!!!

My period was always like clock work, but after signing up to Ovia I am late but with a negative on Clear View.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Best of luck!

I was similar when I came off it at the end of June 2012. Very sore breasts, light bleeding, mood swings. Then after a month had a short but definiten period then another 23 days later and another 24 days after that. By early Oct I was pregnant Grin

It is an evil pill for showing pregnancy symptoms when you come off it! I keep getting told not to stress -which I don't think I am to be honest. I've been explaining to my other half that the reason I've done 3 pregnancy tests so far is because I would rather know it is side effects of the pill, than presume it is and be wrong (especially as I keep getting invited out down town!)

I know everyone is different and some are lucky to fall pregnant sooner than others. I just hope i am one of them.

I feel okay today though, mood is fine, bloating gone, not tired. It will probably change other the course of the week though.

That was meant to say over the course of the week, not other!

First time, I bled pretty much constantly for weeks after coming off it, didn't realise I had got pregnant pretty much straight away, had a miscarriage at around 8 weeks. Got pregnant with dd 9 months later.

Second time, no weirdness, took 6 months to get pregnant.

I know this will sound daft, but I can't believe how a little pill can send so many people in different directions! I will be honest, I've read more bad stories than positive - unsure whether I will go back on it when the time comes!
