Okays on the 19th of august I had red spotting, on 26th of august my peruod was due but never arrived until the 1st of september. Af only lasted 3 day wich is strange. So I was meant to ovulate today but for the past 6 days all my ovulation tests have been completely negative :/ im having quite alot of pain near my right ovary; ive been to doctors and hospital and they keep saying its non specific abdo pain. Pregnancy tests are negative so not an ectopic but im having this pain and not ovulating ? Anybody have any ideas ?

How bad is the pain? (Don't be stoic and suffer...)

If you think this is something not normal for you, it's back to the docs. Could be something or nothing, but anything that your gut says isn't right needs to be properly checked out. Could be a cyst, for example. Either way, only your doc can tell you.

I'm absolutely terrible for not going to the docs and doing the whole 'it's fine' thing (so many of us are like this..) so I'm a hypocrite....but still, better safe than sorry. Hope it's nothing :)

Non specific abdominal pain means 'we have no idea.'

If it gets bad, or you develop a fever, you need to go back to the docs. Stat.

agree with other posters if it gets really bad high temp all of the above get back to the doc

I had this, they thought it was appendicitis. I never actually found out what it was but when I spoke to the midwife after having DS (general chatting) she said it sounded like a cyst.

I'd had some spotting, my AF didn't arrive but then I was in agony. My doctor examined me, she gave me a sweep which people in late pregnancy are offered if they are overdue. This made my AF start very heavily, it was like things were stuck? I'd seen 2 other drs in the meantime.

If it is a cyst the chances are it will burst of it's own accord which will relieve the pressure and pain. But not all of them do this, if it's a solid cyst then it will need removing, the pain will increase and you will probably get a fever. If you think the pain is getting worse then you must go back to the hospital. I'm not sure if a cyst would cause the problems with fertility it could be unrelated or it could be connected to another condition.

Do you have any other symptoms? Excess body hair, acne, weight gain? I'd recommend just going back to the dr, they have to do something if you keep going back.

I hope you find some answers soon.

Always keep in mind that OPK's are not foolproof. That they don’t actually work for everyone. OPK's measure the amount of LH (Luetenizing Hormone) in your urine. A spike of LH is what actually causes the follicle to burst and release the egg - ovulation. However, some people have naturally higher levels of LH at different stages of their cycle. Some people actually dilute and break down the hormone better so the spike doesn’t show up in the urine; some people don’t break it down so well.
A woman is just as likely to have these pains days before ovulation (when the egg follicle is growing, or a build-up of mucus in the Fallopian tubes getting ready for ovulation) or after ovulation (the egg bursts out of its follicle with some force. Therefore, if your "ovulation pain" doesn't seem to jibe with the timing of your OPK, go with your OPK-- the presence of the hormone in your urine is a much better detector of ovulation than trying to make sense of twinges or tingles in your abdomen.
Do you do BBT charting as well as OPK? Maybe this will help you, because when you see your temp drop n go up the next day, then do your OPK around this time, sometimes it’s best to have at least one chart to compare to, good luck!!

Hi there, I used to get a pain like this on my left hand side (left ovary) and I asked David to look at it but he couldn't see anything..that was last September. I had been struggling to fall pg at the time which was quite odd for me as in the six previous pregnancies it had only taken 1 -2 months. I did fall pg shortly after that but lost the baby again at 10 weeks. I have lost 5 babies and usually miscarry at 12 weeks - David has been my Consultant for two and a half years...I'm still waiting for baby..been miscarrying for four years...got all the tests and nothing could be found. He has been very good to me. What do you think of him?

I think the clinic may have been moved out of the Royal now to the Mater as well so if you want to chase up your results probably best to phone the Mater first. But the tests do take an age...what did you get done? If you have had karotyping done they take 6 months ( and my first consultant messed those up and we had to give blood again...she only told us after 6 months had passed and we were expecting the results. A good 50 % of the time though they find nothing). I actually had to wait a whole year from my third miscarriage while tests and procedures were being done before I could ttc again...and of course that ended in my 4th mc in Jan 13, followed by my 5th mc in Nov 13..both times David was very annoyed for me.

As for fertility monitors and ov tests I could scream, I haven't had a peak fertility on my monitor since I miscarried last Nov...I don't think i get a strong enough LH surge. Ov tests are also all over the place with only the Boots ones really going positive but not as positive as I would like...but have been told it's just my age and it will take longer as I get older.

If you have pink discharge could it be an implantation bleed? If not go to your GP and ask about cervical erosion or just to be examined generally.
