Can your system be a bit messed up after a possible chemical pregnancy, and if so, how long for?

Last month I had many early pregnancy symptoms but they stopped a bit before AF arrived on time and I assumed I had had a chemical pregnancy.

After AF I used Ov sticks but the line kept getting fainter and I never got an ovulation surge.

Now my AF is 5 days late but I got a negative pregnancy test 2 days ago. Feeling a bit miserable and all over the place. Am assuming I am late as ovulation didn't happen.

What were things like before Meysey? Are you generally quite regular?

You may not have had a chemical pregnancy. It may just be a one-off anovulatory cycle that you are having this month.

agree with Rubles. also, if you're ttc then it's possible to notice simptoms that you previously wouldn't notice, sore boobs, bloatedness, even some nausia can be simptoms of impending af, but because we don't look for simptoms of periods when not ttc, or because these simptoms don't manifest themselves when we're on the pill, we think that they're pg simptoms when ttc. these boards are full of messages from people saying that they have sore boobs/feeling sick/bloated/snappy/etc and are sure they must be pg, only for af to arrive on time. also, if the thought of a chemical pregnancy has upset you, this could also alter your ovulation status. stress can delay, and even prevent ovulation and thus can also delay, and sometimes even prevent af.

When did you start using the ov kits Meysey?

It could be possible that you could be ov earlier in your cycle if they got fainter rather than stronger??

I'm usually regular as clockwork, so it may well be just an odd cycle as rubles suggested, and am ov kit newbie so ov may well be freakishly early. Having been pregnant in the past, the wine tasting like arsenic and having to eat every two hours thing did seem familiar but hey ho. Stress, what stress?
