O.P.K advice

Been ttc since last year. Have never used O.P.K's or ovulation sticks.
How do they work if you get a smiley face do you have to dtd that same day (would be difficult as me and d.p live separately) or do you have a few days.
Do you have to test everyday.

I just bought cheap ones on Amazon worked well 3 pregnancies although 2 mc
At one point dp was away a lot basically we got used to my cycle so we planned round it ( romantic) or he would drive back!
Best time is a few days prior to a positive opk in my experience. All depends how regular your cycles are?

ovulation tests warn you i think its 48 hours before you ovulate for best chances is obviously is best to baby dance every 2 days but if this is not possible the OPK will help it does depend on how long your cycle is mine is really long at the moment as i am breastfeeding so every 39 days its a nightmare me personally starting opk's soon as cycle finishes as no idea when i will ovulate it means i will be using alot more tests but its worth it a million times over
