has my implanon stopped working

Good Morning all. Not sure if this is the right Place to post this??

I’m new here and I was hoping someone could help me please? The thing is I have been using he implanon for the past 2.5 years and I also had one previous to that, but had it removed after 2 so I could have a baby. Anyway it is due to be removed on December 22nd this year. I have never had a period while being on either of the implants, but on Sunday morning I woke up with a period, I had been spotting for a couple of days previously but then it turned into a normal period that I used to get. I am now wondering if the Implanon has stopped working. Any advice??

Thank you very much for Your reply. Me and my husband would like another baby but not till the implant has been removed. Got a fright when i realised i'd started on after 2.5 years. x

Thanks, i am slighlty overweight and my BMI is probably higher than it should be lol but i wouldn't have thouht it was high enough to affect it. The Things us woman have to go through aye
