I know its waaay early for a November bus to set off but AF arrived today kicking me off the September bus and with DH away next month the October bus is not an option. Anyone fancy joining me in the long wait? I don't expect much action on this thread for a few weeks but it would be nice to have some company. My stats are below:

iamevan, 35, TTC#2, cycle 6, BFP due 7th November

Ceds- yes that does sound like it. I guess it felt like a bolt of lightning in my bits! I've just searched my old antenatal thread and I'm definitely complaining about it! I can't remember when it first started though, quite soon I think.

Sounds promising to me!!

TheProofIsInThePudding · 28/10/2014 23:02

Excellent news Blueberry!

We've just been out with our neighbours. She is 6 months pregnant and I think I did a very good job of not asking any awkward/personal questions! (Although I might well have done had our DHs not been there!)

We had to rush out and I didn't have time to let an OPK develop properly. When I left it looked negative, but when I got back it might be construed as positive. We're DTD tonight anyway so that's fine. If it was positive today can I expect it to also be positive tomorrow? First cycle with OPKs and using ICs, so don't quite know what to expect!

IamEvan · 28/10/2014 23:34

Hi all! After starting this thread I hid away for over a month as was feeling very down in the dumps. having logged back in it's great to see such a lively discussion!

it's cycle 6 and for the last couple of months TTC has been really getting me down. heres to a bfp on the 6th november- spent most of last week dtd.

I never seem to get cervical mucus- does that mean there's something wrong? don't recall ever getting any, and I did eventually manage to conceive DS1 so hopefully it's possible without it again...

I am finding this TTC business ridiculously stressful and irritating and feel a bit sorry for myself over the last while. really need to get over it, but finding it a bit hard to shift myself out of the funk.

I have my fingers crossed for everyone - BFPs all around! lets hope this bus is a lucky one! I have seen many names from earlier buses get their BFPs so that's encouraging, its good to remember that it WILL happen for us

Awesome news Blueberry - woop woop!

Sorry to see you joining us from the October bus Lucie. I hate AF so very much. Out of interest, how much EPO have you been taking? I've been taking 2600 mg a day of EPO since Sunday (in an attempt to counteract any drying out impact caused by Berocca which I'm taking to try and kill off a cold), but as my cycles are quite regular with a 13 day luteal phase I'm starting to worry that it might not have the desired effect.

Good luck with the scan on Saturday MrsE. Soy twins sounds fab!

AF was super heavy this month (the joy!) although I suspect that following an ectopic/mc this is par for the course. Currently battling a horrific sore throat and winter cold and consoling myself with the fact that as it's only CD5 I can at least raid the cold and flu section of the pharmacy without worrying too much. Still feeling (and looking) like death warmed up though. The fact that work is super busy at the moment isn't helping either. Really hope I feel better before the weekend so that our dtd-athon can commence.

Cariad2014 · 28/10/2014 23:49

Sorry to hear you've been feeling blue IamEvan. Thanks for starting the thread. I shall be keeping everything crossed on 6th November in the hope that you get your BFP.

MaMaPo · 29/10/2014 03:23

Sorry you're having a tough time evan. We're in very similar situations: I'm also cycle 6 and my BFP is due just after yours, also TTC #2 and I'm just a bit older than you. I'm happy to compare notes.

I've been finding it relatively tough but actually, the last 2 cycles has been both easier and more difficult. Earlier on I don't think my husband was 100% on board. Sure, he wants another child but I get the feeling he was assuming we would conceive very quickly (as we did with our first) and so it's been only recently that I've felt that he's been on the same page as me, in terms of taking it seriously! So in terms of DTD etc it's been loads better, but the arrival of AF has been more difficult.

To keep positive I've been trying new things every cycle or so. I started temping after about 2 cycles, I've had no luck with OPKs but invested in a CBFM this cycle which seems to be working well (and DH likes me to announce grandly 'Today my fertility is... HIGH!' each morning... weirdo). If this doesn't work after a couple of cycles I might try EPO to increase my CM (something you could consider?). I need to feel like I'm keeping active!

Anyway, definitely hoping for a BFP this month. We have managed 3xDTD right on my fertile time (which might not sound a huge amount but with a toddler we feel pretty triumphant!) and I might have one more go even though I suspect and hope that I'm ovulating right now and will see the evidence of it on my temping tomorrow morning.

Here's the two week wait. Feel free to come and symptom spot with me, Evan! I hope you feel better soon.

mistywillow17 · 29/10/2014 06:05

Oh I am so hacked off and semi-excited at the same time, I don't know what to do with myself.

Yesterday I got a bit over-enthused while reading about cold symptoms being related to implantation, especially as so many people reported it around the 8dpo/9dpo mark, which is about where I am. So I picked up a couple of cheap tests in Tesco to be prepared. Then on getting home, I couldn't resist cracking one of them open - seriously, I knew it was too early but I couldn't help myself, it was just crying out to be peed on.

Of course BFN. Even 15 minutes later. But after half an hour or so when I fished it out of the bin to make sure took another look, there was a massive pink line that wasn't there before.
I told myself not to get excited as it was way outside the time, and planned to test with FMU this morning

But the stupid cold has got worse and worse, I have been up all night, and drinking lots of teas/water all through the night to soothe my throat and ease the congestion. So FMU was very dilute, and naturally it's another BFN (even an hour later). Bugger. I can't even take anything for the cold while I am in limbo, and I'm going to have to venture out of the house to restock on tests.

mistywillow17 · 29/10/2014 06:20

Just realised how moany and negative my last post sounds - sorry!

I am actually brimming over with excitement but trying to suppress it - I have been excited and then disappointed before (although never by a stonking great pink line, it must be said).

Sitting here with tissues stuffed up each nostril staring at yesterday's test (and ignoring today's of course). How long do I need to hold my wee for, do you think, before I can do another test?

Boosk · 29/10/2014 06:30

Morning ladies!

Just checking in to say hello, I haven't read back yet so I've no idea what you've all been up to but I'm looking forward to seeing the bus setting off on Saturday.

Only cd7 here so nothing happening yet. Just waiting on the arrival of my bbt and opks.

Happy Wednesday everyone! Smile

Treaclepie19 · 29/10/2014 07:26

Boosk! We're almost cycle twins again. Cd8 for me :)

TheProofIsInThePudding · 29/10/2014 07:37

Had a stupid row with DH last night so no DTD, and very little sleep. I'm pretty Angry this morning.

lucieloos · 29/10/2014 07:39

Thanks Cariad, really hope this bus is lucky! Last month I took 3000mg of epo as I had read a lot of people on here were taking increased doses. The 2 months prior to that I was taking 1000mg. For me the increased dose didn't help at all. Whilst taking 1000mg I had quite a bit of ewcm but with the 3000mg I had none. I found ovulation was delayed 2 out of the 3 months but even more so with the 3000mg and I'm worried that this had a knock on effect on my luteal phase so I'm going to see how I get on without them this month. We have been using preseed and conceive plus so hopefully that's makes up for lack of ewcm in normal cycles.

wanttobeamummyin2015 · 29/10/2014 07:45

Morning all! Happy Wednesday!

misty that sounds positive fx you get another line when you test again with fmu!

CD13 here not much to add... OPKs still negative Hmm dtd on 6, 9, 11, 12. Still no idea if ov'd or not. If bfn this month I am definitely temping next month! Still going for the 14 nov poas party Smile

blueberry how many dpo are you? Did you manage to do lots of dtd? When will you test?

spinningirl10 · 29/10/2014 07:50

Morning Grin

Mamapo, good to see you. Fx for you.

Proof, sorry you fell out with dh, hope you make up soon. It's shit when you argueThanks

I take 2000mg of epo. Sometimes I get more ewcm but not always. It's good for you in other ways so I keep taking it.
Cd6 here and took soy last night, taking from cd5-9 this cycle. Woken up with a headache which happened last cycle so it's definitely a soy symptom.

Kilicat · 29/10/2014 07:52

It looks like I may have jumped on the wrong bus! Decided to ttc just under two weeks ago assuming it would take several months, however think I was ovulating at the time as get a small amount of pain every month. Don't exactly know the date of last period (feel a bit ignorant compared to everyone on here as not been tracking things closely) but had decided 1/2Nov is when I could first test. However, got impatient last night (after tiredness, nausea and sore boobs) and used a test that claims to work up to six days before AF is due....and after a few mins a super faint pink line appeared. I didn't quite believe it so drove straight to the supermarket to get another one and did it first thing and it's definitely a BFP! Am I right in thinking that a BFP is likely to be accurate? It's all been a bit of a whirlwind!!

spinningirl10 · 29/10/2014 07:52

Misty, how frustrating. All you can do is wait but I know that's not easy. Hope you feel better soonThanks

Want, it's quite easy to miss peak, maybe it happened overnight but you've done well with dtd, I would just keep going if you can and hopefully you'll catch that eggGrin

spinningirl10 · 29/10/2014 07:54

Kilicat, Congratulations on your bfpGrin how fabulous to manage it first cycle.

Kilicat · 29/10/2014 07:56

Hopefully it's a sign of lots more BPFs that are just around the corner for everyone Smile

knittedmittens · 29/10/2014 07:58

Morning all,

Great news Blueberry

Well done for not asking awkward questions Proof. I'm mostly feeling irrationally cross around preggo friends atm Blush. Can't helps with the OPKs I'm afraid - they are a mystery to me!

Sorry you're feeling a bit rubbish evan, and thank you for starting the thread.

Misty that all sounds a bit traumatic :( I've been told it's a 4 hour hold for poas, but can never manage it myself as I have a tiny bladder! Have you got a FRER? Might give a more reliable result? Fingers crossed.

I'm 4dpo. Had a ridiculous amount of cm yesterday (sorry tmi), would love that to be a symptom, but I've now convinced myself I might have o'd late. DH had to go back home Sunday (I'm on holiday with my parents) which would mean we missed it. Boo.

knittedmittens · 29/10/2014 08:02

Sorry Proof crossed posts, hope DH apologises and all is sorted soon!

Congrats Kilicat - I'm definitely taking that as a good omen!!

mistywillow17 · 29/10/2014 08:05

Congratulations kilikat that's brilliant news
BFP news always cheers me up!

gennibugs · 29/10/2014 08:21

congratulations kilicat. Fab news.

cd6 here - boring. DH and I gearing up for a quieter week next week so we can fit in lots of dtd Grin

Cariad2014 · 29/10/2014 08:26

Congrats Kilikat.

Thanks for the EPO tips Lucie and Spinning. Think I might stop taking it now and see what impact it has on my cm (particularly as I'm still taking Berocca, which I understand has the opposite effect). We've stocked up on Preseed so I'm hoping we'll be covered even if the Berocca dries me out completely!

CD6 and still feeling utterly horrific with a sore throat and head cold. Have told DH that if I haven't recovered by the weekend, we might have to skip ttc this month as I'm feeling so ill right now, I can't really afford to be immuno-suppressed as well Sad. I normally recover pretty quickly from these sorts of things, but suspect my body's still not 100% after my ectopic. Apologies for the me me me post - I promise I'll be on better form tomorrow.

knittedmittens · 29/10/2014 08:56

Get well soon Cariad Thanks

ceds86 · 29/10/2014 09:28

Morning all cd20 here, I am confused, have been having cramps for days, mild cramps though it should be said, now been to toilet and a bit of light blood spotting. 4 days of ewcm stopped 3 days ago - is there any way I could be ovulating now with thick cm? dont temp or use OPKs so no idea whether I've ov'd or not already or am now?
