I know its waaay early for a November bus to set off but AF arrived today kicking me off the September bus and with DH away next month the October bus is not an option. Anyone fancy joining me in the long wait? I don't expect much action on this thread for a few weeks but it would be nice to have some company. My stats are below:

iamevan, 35, TTC#2, cycle 6, BFP due 7th November

Hi all! I really don't know what's going on with my cycles! CD 45 today (!) and tests bfn but no AF!! Madness. So still technically on cycle 3 (cycle 2 had a chemical) - going a bit crazy!! Would love either a bfp or AF to arrive so I can on with everything (and have a few Wine too - none for 3.5 weeks now!)

Hope you're all doing well! I've also decided to stop with the opks and temping as I feel like I'm going a bit crazy with it all. Going to try a cycle just DTD with DH and see what happens (well, I say that now...!)

xBlueberry88x · 19/10/2014 17:36

Haha dont worry proof we have been!

ChandlersFarang · 19/10/2014 17:42

Thanks xBlue! So you think you might be ov'ing now... But do to have a scan til tues? Interesting... I think if you have a scan literally just after ov then they can see the egg coming down the tube which is well cool!! Also, you will see if there were any other eggs waiting to come as well - if the clomid worked you might have a few. I think they can see ruptured follicles where the eggs have come from too, so it won't be a wasted scan even if you've jumped the gun!! Just make sure you're DTD plenty just in case. Exciting times!! GrinGrin

xBlueberry88x · 19/10/2014 18:14

No idea to be honest there's definitely some changes this month normally i get cramps after positive opk but ive had some cramps for about a week now.

I normally get 1 day of ewcm but have had a couple of days of that to.

Hopefully scan shows something im a little worried about it i wouldnt be surprised if the eggs get ready but don't release.

When i had hsg she could see an egg ready to go but blood tests showed no ovulation

Sherbet38 · 19/10/2014 20:22

Evening ladies, cd13 here and I had a positive ic opk yesterday and today, although nothing on a clear blue opk ... not sure why that would be? I didn't get a positive on the cb opks last month at all, don't think they can work for me! Its reassuring to get a positive and know we have dtd around the right time. How long do people usually get positives for? Only downside is that i think the positive put the pressure on DH, dtd on demand! Smile

Orangeisthenewbanana · 19/10/2014 21:37

I had the same last month Sherbet, positive IC with negative CB's. Followed by a week of flashy smileys on CB (but no peak) together with negative IC's Confused. I read that the first one or two CB tests you do in a cycle are always negative, as it's finding your baseline levels? I ov'd 4 days earlier than I expected last month, so hadn't started the CB in time I think. Will see what happens this month - my POAS-a-thon will be commencing this Wednesday! Grin

My DH is the same about performing on demand! I don't tell him my opk stuff now. We just identify the week or so I'm likely to ov, and agree to dtd EOD over that time.

lucieloos · 20/10/2014 07:43

Hi there just popping in from the pregtober bus! I seem to be ovulating late this month so not sure if I'm going to make the end of the October bus or not.

Would it be ok to pop my stats on here as well and ride along with you for a little while please

Lucieloos, 35, TTC#1, cycle 8, bfp due 2nd November

mistywillow17 · 20/10/2014 08:21

Morning all.
It's been a mixed weekend - on the plus side, the clearblue monitor gave me a solid smiley on Saturday. But I didn't have any flashing smilies before, it just went straight to solid, so it caught me on the hop and very unprepared. (DH has been under the weather, so I'd been giving him a bit of a break!)

I managed to jump on him on Saturday afternoon - but after the that the man flu kicked in properly and he resisted all my feminine wiles offers of a handjob , so that's been our only opportunity this cycle.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a one shot wonder this month then! And if nothing else, at least I have learned that I ovulate earlier than I thought, so I can alter our approach going forwards.

Morning all! Af has buggered off this morning, so bring on pregvember! CD4 today, going to start poaopk CD7 then let's get doing the horizontal cycling ;) hello to all pregtober ladies and all pregvember ladies! This month will be our month cos I am feeling positive Grin

Kirstywa1 · 20/10/2014 10:45

What are everyone's thoughts on opks? Which are the best ones to use?? I was using the strips from sainsburys this month but not convinced by their accuracy! I tested a lot and got faint lines later than my 700 apps were predicting Confused

I am due on later this week - but had faint spotting today, mind is in overdrive thinking it may be implantation?!

This getting pregnant malarkey seems to be more difficult than I was expecting!

Does anyone else read to much into symptoms? Or have I just lost the plot???

xBlueberry88x · 20/10/2014 14:03

Afternoon Ladies,

Mega cramps today feels like I have pulled all the muscles in my stomach...had quite bad cramps last month but I think clomid is making ovulation a lot worse!!

Sherbet Sorry cant help with the cb ones!

Lucie welcome!!

Misty fx the one time was enough!!

Want glad AF has buggered off!!

Kirsty I use the cheap opks from amazon....opks test for the lh in your system but lh is always there so most women get lines throughout the month. It is only a positive when the line is darker or the same as the control line. Although from experience this doesnt mean your ovulating it just means you had a surge.
Have you got pcos? I have heard that opks dont work for women who has pcos. Theres also the chance you missed your peak alot of the girls poas twice a day to catch the surge!

Bovnydazzler · 20/10/2014 14:09

Hi all,

Sauntering on the November bus, no rush for me as only at the start of the mammoth DTD session whic we'll be having.

Seafoam I'm so sorry to hear your news.

Blueberry, sounds like Clomid is having a bit of an effect. Thanks for all your advice on the pregowrrn bus.

Stats: 30, TTC #2 month 9 of properly trying, BFP maybe 25th November (but crazy cycles).

Hi five to the other dodgy cycle buddies out there Chandler/Orange/all others! My last 3 cycles have been 40 days, 93 days, 51 days. Taken OPKs every cycle all cycle twice a day, not got a positive yet. I feel irrationally jealous of those who can try every month, and getting tired of the emotional trauma of limbo land. Been a bit silly last few cycles and let myself get pretty excited when 'late' when actually, it's just messed up cycles.

Don't think I have PCOS as no other symptoms, but it wouldn't be the craziest suggestion that I potentially do have it. My periods have always ren +35 days, although never this long or irregular.

My doctor was pretty good, can't fault the NHS although I haven't been trying for a year, due to cycle weirdness she referred me to gyno (initial referral took 2 weeks from GP to gyno appointment, was expecting months!) Id definitely agree with those saying you don't have to be trying a year to get referral if something obviously amiss.

I'm due back for a follow up appointment on Wednesday. Hoping she will prescribe clomid. I've had to have HSG (not fun, but clear results :) blood tests, swab tests and DH had sperm tests (results for sperm test fine) before she will prescribe clomid.

So this is a natural cycle, crossed fingers but guessing now I'll have better chances of my December cycle on clomid (If I get it) I was tempted to try Soy this month after the buzz on the pregoween thread but held off, don't want to disrupt hormones too much ahead of maybe getting clomid.

ChandlersFarang · 20/10/2014 14:19

Bovny irregular cycles are a right bastard! I hear ya! I've been trying since Dec 2013 and have only ovulated 4 or 5 times (and am only sure about 2 of those as they were observed on scans!). I know what you mean about not thinking u have PCOS... I didn't have any of the other classic symptoms either (not fat/hairy/bald! Lol!!) but lo and behold, the dildocam scan I had in June showed a team of cysts on each ovary. ShockShock I've said it before tho - knowledge is power, so good luck with all your tests. The blood test should be interesting.

Great you're being seen so efficiently by the way! You aren't wasting time as long as you're getting to the bottom of the cause, remember. Great news about the HSG and your OH's sample, that's two major hurdles out of the way!! GrinGrin Good luck and us posted xx

Orangeisthenewbanana · 20/10/2014 17:45

Hi Bovny! Wow, your cycles sound really difficult to get to grips with Sad Glad to hear that the docs aren't hanging about with investigations though, so hopefully you'll have a better idea what's going in soon.

I know what you mean about wishing you could just get one try a month. It makes it so much harder when af turns up, knowing you have to wait ages to try again, and never quite sure you've timed it right anyway!

Frolicacid · 20/10/2014 19:43

Room for another one? AF arrived two days late today. I'm exhausted after a weekend of bfn / no AF limbo!!

My cycles are a bit long (usually 32 days), so I might sit quietly at the back for a bit.

Stats = frolicacid, 34, cycle 3, ttc #1

Frolicacid · 20/10/2014 19:47

Nearly forgot!! BFP due 20th November

broodylicious · 20/10/2014 19:59

Welcome - but booooo but AF - frlic Smile

toothachereturns · 20/10/2014 20:08

Hi Frolic! I feel your pain.... My last 2 cycles have been a few days longer than normal. Even though we were having a couple of months off ttc after 2 CPs I was still in limbo and poas!

CD4 here.... Af all but stopped. This feels like a long month already!

Bracing ourselves for the arse-end of hurricane gonzola (no innuendo intended Wink). Hold on to your trampolines!

Bovnydazzler · 20/10/2014 20:18

Chandler I've never heard of a dildocam before, I fear it sounds far more exciting than what it will actually be!! Apart from acne requiring Roaccutane to treat, I've also got none of the other classic signs of PCOS but I know it happens. Can the blood test alone reveal signs of PCOS I wonder.

My mum's got various conditions which potentially could be a genetic factor affecting ovulation, she's got thyroid issues, coeliac diaease and a form of lupus, and although I don't have any of the symptoms she had I'm thinking thyroid maybe a potential.

I'll let the gyno advise further rather than speculating further I think before I diagnose myself with a host of things. It's on Wednesday so not long to wait!

Orange I agree about draining long waits, for the last couple of times though I've actually been glad AF has shown up instead of speculating on the POASs!

spinningirl10 · 20/10/2014 20:50

Hi just popping over from October bus to see if there's any news from BlueberryGrin

Blue, Was it scan today, how did you get on?

spinningirl10 · 20/10/2014 20:51

Haha just realised it's only MondayConfused and scan is Tuesday yes?

Well good luck tomorrow Blueberry, hope it shoes you've ovulatedGrin

xBlueberry88x · 20/10/2014 21:08

Hey spinning yes tomorrow lol thanks for thinking of me I'll let you all know

bov i have coeliac disease and if undiagnosed can cause problems getting pregnant have to been tested for it? It runs in families often

MrsGingerbread · 20/10/2014 21:25

Cd 14 here. I am really hoping that my temperature goes up tomorrow as we have really gone for it this month and I think dh is going on strike!

How is everyone else?

blue fingers crossed for you tomorrow!

TheProofIsInThePudding · 20/10/2014 21:39

I did my first ever OPK today! It was negative because it's still early in the cycle, I just wanted to have a practice! I was surprised how teeny-tiny they are: makes it difficult to read. It was an IC from Amazon advertised as being 'extra wide'. I can't imagine trying to read a standard width one!

It must be very frustrating for you ladies with crazy cycles. I hope that you are getting the help you need from the doctors. Although I guess sometimes the doctors just can't find any evidence of a particular issue and that must be extra frustrating.
