Going to try one or the other this month and see if it helps.
Many recommendations please? X

I've been using Conceive Plus for the last two cycles (the pre-filled applicators). Obviously it hasn't helped me conceive, but I do find it quite pleasant to use. Not sure if I'll be shelling out £16 for it again though.

Ok thanks, if only these things were miracle cures huh x

Indeed! I was so hopeful after reading so many good reviews ("we tried for ages and then got pregnant first cycle using it" etc...), but I guess no amount of lubricant is going to help if there are any underlying issues. Sad

I used CP and got my BFP the first month with DD and the third month with DS. Not sure if it helped though!

I highly recommend preseed. Although I've had two mmc I got pregnant 1st month and then 2nd time it was month 2. Already purchased for 3rd time lucky!!

We used preseed and both times the first month we used it I fell pregnant. Prior to that we'd been ttc for 5mths for DC1.

If we were going to ttc again we'd definitely use it from the outset.

Thanks ladies, I had an ectopic in April and sadly having a mc now, so I know we fall quickly, so not sure we really need it. Just clutching at straws I guess

Hello, can I ask where people are getting the Pre seed from? I just presumed I'd pop into Boots! I'm looking online and want to buy from a reputable place.

jbee1979 · 19/09/2014 14:12

i got both from amazon. no joy after a whole tube of preseed, hit the jackpot first go with conceive plus. They're much the same in terms of consistency - just luck i guess :-)

Tranquilitybaby · 20/09/2014 08:25

Have a look at Amazon, they have both x

That's good to hear JBrd.

Since posting this, I actually got a bfp on Tuesday but have sadly miscarried. Guess I don't need the Concieve plus really as got pregnant easily.

(waves at tranquility) I ordered some of the squelchy stuff on your advice my dear, and it arrived today! DS was very keen to know what was in the parcel (well, parcels are very exciting, aren't they?), but luckily I managed to distract him with some lego Grin. I'll let you know how I get on (it's Conceive Plus, by the way).

By the way, what gives with the whole applicator thing? Are you supposed to squirt it up inside your fanjo then? The applicator things looked really pricey- what makes them better than a plastic syringe (without needle, obvs)?

As someone who has uses preseed for the past year and just switched to conceive plus (I thought why not give it a try!?) I can say the only real difference I noticed was that C+ seems to dry a lot quicker, so you can't put it on, have a little foreplay and go back as you can with preseed, it's a bit more sticky than preseed too, and I also noticed that it seems to be a have a bit more of a chemical smell to it that lingers after DTD... Lastly comment, which is a silly one, is that the lid is quite tight, so it really CLICKS when opened, not so discreet if your house sharing! Lol.

But overall I don't see much difference when actually DTD... A little drier, but not terribly. I'll finish this bottle to see if it works better conception wise, but if not I think I'll go back to preseed x

Sorry for your loss tranquillity Thanks
