I read that website about Dong Quai causing misscarriages and I was really shocked. I feel terrible that I recommended it to you. I've only used it to sort irregular periods and emotions etc and its been amazing for that which is why I thought it would help you but had never heard of it causing misscarriages. So I apologise enormously and hope all is well for you.

manuka I'm big girl now so dont blame yourself no hram done, just glad i cecked it out before taking it to long! I just hope everyone else is checking DQ out and all the information before taking it!

What I will say is the day after I stopped taking it, my tummy kept rapidly contracting so please please people thinking about taking it go to a professional first, and also tell tem your TTC!

Thats so mental! I'm taking it now to get periods normal etc and I've never noticed any thing like what happened to you. Good job you did more research. As I'm trying not to conceive I will be upping my dosage until dp gets the snip!!

It really did work, as my AF was very light, only one day of tummy cramps and temp's have been "text book" if you get me, even EWCM was great, and alot less +opk this month which was fab. I was fine while taking it, but it was only once I had been off it for 24hurs+ that I got the "rapidly contraction" in my tummy. Website's say your not allowed to take it if 6week+ PG but what if what happened to me, happens to someone that is less than 6weeks PG (or more) and decide to come off it, because it say's "not allowed to take it if more then 6WKS PG"? It could be very damaging!

Absolutely that would be horrifying I'm so glad you found that out. The woman who prescribed it to me never told me about that side of it but at the time I wasn't ttc.
If there are herbs that end pregnancies I wonder if there are any that promote them? or homeopathy?

I am looking for something that is like DQ "balance hormones" ect: but is very safe for ladies TTC!

How about here to start looking at herbs. I love Susun S. Weed's books.

manuka · 24/09/2006 22:19

I would say homeopathy then. Its excellent. My doctor prescribed it for my pnd which I thought was quite cool!
