After forking out ?244 on a course of ivf drugs + ?50 on a blood test and then being told fsh too high I have now decided to call it a day with the fertility treatment. I am seeing the director of the hospital on Monday to 'have it out with him' as I feel I have been messed about for the last 18 months.
A friend of mine has a 5 month old and just found out she is 3 months pg without even trying! so I'm fed up, and quite frankly, p$%$%d off with the whole thing. Its been 4 years of opks, temping, mc, tests, iui, chlomid and enough is enough for me.
If we end up pg without treatment then that would be fab but am preparing myself for it not happening at all...if its meant to be it will be.
I will probably visit mumsnet in the future to see how everyone is getting on.
hope you all get what you wish for. best of luck

Natty1806 · 23/09/2006 16:49

Dizzy fo sorry you are feeling like this but can understand how hard it has been, please pop back when you are ready.

Best wishes x

bubbly1973 · 23/09/2006 17:28

dizzy, i wish you all the luck in the future, who knows what may happen, but i hope to catch up with you in the future,...so very sorry that its been a rollercoaster of emotions and sometimes you have to say enough is enough, you have to draw a line somewhere as its the only way to move on to 'living' life and remembering that theres so much to do

i know if you had the choice you would swap it all for a baby but in the meantime its time to forget about it like you say and look forward to different things in life for a while

hope all goes well for you, you will be missed
x

Dizzy...I'm sorry that you've had it so hard - something that a lot of people have so darn easy.

Life isn't fair at all is it.

I hope your meeting goes well with the Director tomorrow.
Be calm and make sure you say all you need to.
X

Dear Dizzy

So very sorry to hear about the awful time you have had. I can totally understand where you are coming from, and it is a nightmare. I really do feel for you. I hope that you can get some decent explanations from the director for the way you have been treated.
Hope to hear from you from time to time XXX

As no longer in the TTC line myself either I never normally look at these threads, but I saw your OP and just wanted to say how sorry I am you have had such a horrible, sad, time dizzy
Wishing you luck - I have three friends who have successfully had babies naturally after calling time on their fertility treatment, I so hope the same happens to you.

Rhubarb · 25/09/2006 13:59

Best of luck dizzy, really sorry it hasn't worked out for you.
