But can you have a period without ovulating?

We're ttc, I've had one period since giving birth to my son 10 months ago, I'm now on cd32 (normally it's just 28) and had a very light amount of old blood over the last two days. Nothing red or even pink. Is that actually a period? Test shows negative and I'm still bf my son. We dtd a few times around when I'd expected to ovulate, but now feel confused.

Any advice appreciated x

Yes you can, but could it be implantation bleeding?

Sometimes you have an anovulatory cycle where an egg is not released. You do have a period as normal but it may be lighter or delayed slightly. Still bfing is probably making things a bit wonky. I'd retest in a few days though.

I'd wondered about implantation but it always seems to be described as pink spotting, would like to be hopeful but might be a bit too lucky for the first month

I'd not heard of the other, could well just be wonky though I guess. Feel a little out of practice with this lot
