Hi,
I've started temping this cycle and just want to know if these temps are normal and if they should be fluctuating so much? I'm not sure if it's at all relevant what happens in the start of my cycle and I'm only doing it just to get the hang of it really.

Here goes -
Cd2 - 36.08 Celsius

Cd3 - 35.90
Cd4 - 35.91
Cd5 - 36.18
Cd6 - 36.02
Cd7 - 36.02
Cd8 - 35.75
Cd9- none taken stupid alarm
Cd10 - 35.90
All were taken at 6.30 -7.00 am
Conditions the same - good sleep, no alcohol/medication, same blankets, no huge difference in room temp, taken orally.

Thoughts and advice greatly welcomed.

Hi carpe. I temped with DS and now temping again to ttc no2. It sounds like you are doing all the right things. Although your temps are dancing around a little they are still in the low ranges. My temps fluctuate that much too and did on the cycle I conceived ds. As long as you see a rise of at least 0.2 degrees compared to the prev 6 days you know you've o'd. You'll prob then see your temps go up and down a little but in a higher range.

Take a look online at others examples of charts and you'll see how mountainous others charts look too!

I think temping is brilliant once you get the hang of it.

Good luck!

Hi carbe

I agree, sounds like you are doing all the right things. :) They are lower than my low readings, but it is the pattern that matters, not the numbers themselves.

Are you plotting them as you go? I use the My Days X app (much better than the original My Days imo). That should help you to see that lovely ovulation increase in a week or so!

Good luck!

Thanks for the replies.

Great! it looks quite normal. I know that you don't really need to temp all the way through the cycle so when I'm more experienced I'll just do it just before and after ov.
Yes I'm plotting them on fertility friend along with all my other observations from monitoring. Ov is imminent so I'll be watching closely for the rise.

Thanks again, much appreciated.
