miscarriage symptoms - normal?

Ok. I found out Monday I was pregnant after ttc for baby #1. I was only about 4 weeks. Wednesday I started some spotting. Early Thursday morning I started to Mc ans went to the hospital where it was confirmed. It was just like a normal period all day Thursday with all severe migraine. Now today, Friday, I feel even worst than yesterday. Cramps seem to be worst than AF, I'm nauseous, sweaty, clammy and faint. Is this normal?

hi wildfire, sorry to hear what you're going through, but afraid the answer may be that there is no normal.

Sounds as though hospital confirmed you're miscarrying but clearly not completed;could they see if you'd passed the embryo? Even if so, there could still be a fair bit of placenta to come - but presume you may be faint as you've still lost quite a bit of blood. The only advice I can really give is what nurses told me - every mc is different.

(I don't get migraines but didn't really have your other symptoms with either of mine, apart from the cramps. Had a natural delayed mc of a 6-wk embyro; a mix of period-style bleeding interspersed with cramps and gushes, worst one night then 48 hrs later but only passed the sac on another bad night 8 days later. Had been ill before but felt mostly ok though, just cramps a lot worse than AF for me, and the sac bigger than I expected so early (passing itself not painful though)). Hopefully if you're having bad cramps the end is near, just be aware once embyro/sac passed that may or may not be the end of the bleeding (was for me with the sac. But had another at 9 wks with med management and though cramping stopped soon after passed the embryo it wasn't over & bleeding went on for weeks).

Don't be shy with the painkillers & make sure you're drinking enough. Hope it doesn't go on much more and you manage to get some rest. x

Thanks ladies. The worst of it seems to have passed. I'm feeling better. Just going to take it easy the rest of the weekend and get back to my regular life on Monday.
