TTC ... used to be on Depo ... will the pill help?

Yes I know the pill is contraceptive lol but am running out of ideas.

Started Depo as a teenager aged 16 and stayed on it until I was 22.
Came off it in February 2012 to start TTC.

Still not had any periods or ovulation etc. and it's now been 2.5 years!
Have had blood tests done by DR few months ago and all results have come back as 'normal'. DR has offered to refer us for further tests if we still haven't conceived in another 6 months.

I've been reading through these boards and have seen a few people mention that they went onto the pill after depo, which kick started their cycles and then successfully conceived after that.

I really don't want to wait another 6 months to be referred for tests and then have to wait for the appt. etc. time just keeps adding up.

If I ask the DR for the pill to see if it regulates my cycle do you think i'll have to wait x amount of years before being referred for tests again if it doesn't work?

Can any of you share success stories of conceiving after having a messed up situation thanks to DEPO?

Depo is currently the bain of my life. I came off it in Feb this year, so 7 months of no Depo and still no AF :(

Have you tried using an Ovulation Predictor Kit to see if you are ovulating? This is going to be my next port of call as I am sure I am getting the symptoms of ovulation but no AF afterwards.

Also I am taking Agnus Castus tablets which are meant to help (haven't so far). I have heard some people saying the contraceptive pill helped them and others saying it didn't. I guess there's no harm asking your doctor?

I did the same last year came off depo and then did the pill for 6 months and it did kick start it how ever when I stopped the pill I was all over the place took about 7 months to settle but I was doing opk so I know I was ov now on 2nd cycle of trying
