Ok so I always have a 28 day cycle. No exception. Last month dh and I decided to start ttc. My cycle for the first time in years was 30 days with some spotting at 28 days. I took test and thought I could see faint bfp bit dh not sure and af came 2 days later.

Since then I decided to use orks. I had what I thought was a positive a few days ago. Then no lines showed but yesterday I felt really off so thought ill do another one and got another strong positive on the ork. I was in lots of pain at the bottom of my tummy last night.... which I put down to ovulation.
This morning woke up felt a bit uncomfortable again and noticed im now spotting a tiny little bit.
This has never happened before. Is this normal for ovulation. .... Could it be something else. Dh suggested nipping to dr but think they will prob laugh me out of the room ;/

Are 'orks' meant to be opk's or hpts? I'm not being picky just trying to determine whether you might be pregnant or not. A bit of spotting could indicate implantation bleeding, same with the pain at the bottom of your tummy.

Have you taken a pregnancy test?

Hey. Yep it was ovulation tests I was using. Not took a test for a few weeks as af came as normal 2 weeks ago. Still got the pain and little bit of spotting but it really is only a little bit. Will have to wait a few days and take a test. Just wondered if spotting around the time of ovulation is normal?

Ah sorry I missed the bit about af.

I don't know about spotting at ovulation, maybe there's a niggle on your cervix? A polyp maybe? I think they can cause spotting.

Hope someone more helpful will pop along shortly x

I know they say you can get ovulation bleeding, I've never had it, but it's certainly talked about online.

I have spotted at ovulation a couple of times - freaked me out the first time. It can happen. And I get quite annoying pains most months, but never used to until a few years ago.

Thanks all. I think I'm going to put it down to ovulation but if it gets worse ill see gp.
New development though is that I have had a massive outbreak of spots. .... feel like I'm a teenager again. I think my hormones must be playing up x
