The Mooncup Method

I keep reading about people using mooncups to "hold it in" as it were, but I just don't get it. How does it hold it in? Surely the semen just collects in the cup? Do you put it in upside down?!

8 months ttc #1 has left me feeling desperate enough to put a mooncup in upside down.

I think you have sex and then put the mooncup in normally, thereby keeping the semen inside you for longer. You could probably then do handstands etc to tip it back out of the mooncup and upwards to where you want it!
