hi everyone hope you can all give me some advice,

me and my fiance have been trying to conceive for 15 months.

my average cycle is 44 days... i know pretty long ... i went to my doctor 3 months ago and explained we had been TTC baby number 1 for a year with no luck. the doctor sent me for blood tests which showed i had high male testosterone hormone levels and as a result was diagnosed with PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) the doctor explained that it makes TTC a very long and exhausting journey but it is not impossible so have to persevere and sooner or later i will get my BFP. he recommended i change my diet and try and keep my weight down, so in the last 3 months i have lost 1 stone and now weigh 12st and 5lbs.

anyway this month i was ovulating on CD31 and a few days later i went to the bathroom and noticed a SPOT of blood on the tissue paper, i assumed it was my period but after that day the bleeding stopped (i didnt need to use a sanitary towel or tampon, spotting was only visable when wiping)

since then i have experienced fatigue where once or twice a week i sleep from 5pm through to 6:20am the next morning, i sometimes feel tired during the day but its more like my eyes are just heavy and i dont have the energy to move. i have noticed my breasts are rounder. they are not any bigger or sorer ... just rounder. my acne has gotten really bad and i was bloated for 9 days from CD40 - CD49. i have had a niggling pain in my lower abdomen sometimes i dont even know its there until it stops, this is different from my cramps as they are unbarable and reduce me to tears 9/10 times. i have also had a lot more discharge the past week.

as mentioned above my AVERAGE cycle is 44 days but they can be rather irregular (another PCOS symptom) so far they have went :

45 days ( 26 nov 2013)
43 days (10 jan 2014)
52 days (22 feb 2014)
37 days (15 april 2014)
44 days (22 may 2014)

i am now 12 days late on my average 44 day cycle but if you take my longest cycle and compare it to my cycle just now i am 5 days late as today is CD57

i took a pregnancy test at 2 days late (CD47) and got a BFN
i took another PT at 5 days late (CD49) and got another BFN

today is CD57 and i am 12 days late
me and my fiance are going to take another PT tomorrow and see what result we get if it is a BFN we will call doctor and arrange for blood tests

as i have high testosterone hormone levels, could this mean it takes longer for the HCG pregnancy hormone to be detected in my urine? could i still actually be pregnant? and if im not why is my period so late ?

i guess these could all be answered tomorrow but i just wanted some advice from you ladies and gentlemen to give me some peace of mind and perhaps make this a little less confusing .... thanks XX

Hello, i don't usually post but I didn't want this to go unanswered. I have pcos with high testosterone too and the drug metformin worked for me when I was ttc. I wish you luck and if it transpires that you aren't pregnant this month then I recommend asking your GP about metformin. Best of luckThanks

Your testosterone will not change how quickly your HCG raises. How old are you? Your GP should be being more proactive with your TCC see if anyone else in the practice has an interest in this area.
