What does it all mean?!

I normally have a predictable 29 day cycle but seem to have an annual blip where my cycle goes elliptical if that makes sense - so a really short cycle, a long one, a short one, and then snaps back again. I've been charting 2 years just because I'm a data nerd and it seems to be a summer occurrence and happens at around the same time, around this time of year. I've just had a longer than normal cycle and this cycle looks set to be short. So short, in fact, that I'm fairly sure I ovulated on CD8. Is that even possible?! I say I'm fairly sure, my temp was slightly raised and I had a lot of EWCM but it seems so early in the cycle. I was only charting periods before, not temp and CM so I'm not sure if this is just part of the pattern.

I wasn't really concerned, but now I'm having huge period-like cramps and I'm feeling ridiculously emotional. Right now I'm CD 12 and according to my app, due to OV properly next Tuesday, CD 16. I'm having creamy white CM, does that normally come prior or after OV?

DP and I aren't actively TTC but then our commitment to preventing PG is not the strongest right now (we'd both love to have a baby but I have a masters to finish this year!) and so have DTD without contraception.

So what does it all mean?! Could I have OV'ed so early and these cramps and emotional state be early PG symptoms or just a coincidence? TBH although the timing is wrong, I'd love to conceive sooner rather than later so maybe it's wishful thinking!
