Spinning I think a quiet weekend might be a good idea. I simply hate tummy bugs. They just seem to linger on forever. Hope it buggers off properly soon for you.

I'm just being fussy really. The house is perfectly liveable. But the carpets upstairs are faded in places and dark brown isn't really my thing. I just decided it was easier to re carpet our room before any furniture landed on it. We've got a su perking sleigh bed. Blush Im not going to town just lightening and brightening the walls in the bedroom. The couple who owned it before were gay. So just want to make it a bit more girly. As it is I live with 6 men!!! Shock

spinningirl10 · 26/09/2014 07:15

I would be doing the same thing MrsE, so much easier to decorate and lay carpet before you've moved in and nice to have it as you want. The bed sounds lovely. We have a massive bed and dp is always fed up if we go away for a weekend and find we only have a regular double!Grin

broodylicious · 26/09/2014 08:21

Morning all. How's everyone doing? Congrats on the new home mrse, it looks beautiful!! That kitchen is pretty huge, isn't it? Good for you decorating straight away - we have bought a real doer upper so it's going to be a long Ol project til we are in any state of straight. Picking the kitchen this week, v exciting!

treacle sorry to have read AF came HmmConfused

mrsg gosh, a cautionary tale for sure. So pleased it was caught early and dealt with quickly.

Cd10 here so not much to report - dtd cd 7 and 9 and planning on continuing eod for the next week to be sure we give ourselves the best chance. We will see!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 26/09/2014 08:24

Yay for getting the keys MrsE! Totally get wanting to make the house a bit more 'you'! Hope it all goes smoothly this weekend!
Treacle - sorry AF seems to have arrived for you! Fucking bitch!

Hope a quiet weekend does the trick for you spinning- hopefully you'll be right as rain soon.

I'm off to oxford for a hen weekend today. Really looking forward to it, all the drinking not so much. But at only 5dpo I suppose it's not too bad.

wanttobeamummyin2015 · 26/09/2014 08:24

MrsE and broody I too have a doer upper! Bought in may everything is taking forever and coatin way too much. But it is great to have a house that is our own - it is our first after many rentals! :) hope you settle in MrsE with all the unpacking!

broodylicious · 26/09/2014 08:47

Yay want! It's such good fun isn't it? But yeah the cost ConfusedBlush Kitchens seem to be where the "you get what you pay for" saying comes from and is giving us the biggest headache. We've been in five weeks today and still got boxes everywhere because of the work that needs doing! Hey ho, we will get there in the end. Just need my bfp to bugger up all the plans of me decorating and ripping the garden apart Wink

ceds86 · 26/09/2014 09:36

Morning ladies. Have been keeping a keen eye on this post for a while now, lots of exciting stuff going on, good luck with the house move MrsE and sorry to hear a few of you have had some bad news, sending you positive vibes.
So I am a total newbie with the TTC stuff, we are cycle two for #1. Last month we didn't DTD enough in the run up to my smiley face on opk, so this month have done it every other day so far. We are at CD12 and last month I had my smiley face on cd12.
I have two questions, first do you ovulate at the same time each month? I don't really get all this CM and temping stuff, I do have quite a lot of CM at the moment though- not sure what that means! Planning to start using my OPKs tomorrow and imagine I will ov next week... My second question is: in this fertile week before ovulation should we be doing it every day? Or every other day until smiley face and then everyday? Can doing it every single day be detrimental to trying? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks x

spinningirl10 · 26/09/2014 10:03

English, enjoy the hen weekendGrin

Welcome Ceds.....dtd eod up until you get a +opk is great, if you can then manage everyday for 3 days you'll have it covered! If you have lots of ewcm that's a great sign, dtd Wink good luck to you.

Aprilray · 26/09/2014 10:20

It is Spinning, makes me want to read all the other ones again! Enjoy your quiet weekend.

Genni, having a good book to read makes all the difference to my commute. Pretty tired this morning as I was reading quite late. DH bought me a kindle for my bday so that I can read in bed without having the light on and bothering him.

Blueberry, sorry to hear that your appointment didn’t go as well as you hoped but it sounds like Clomid has helped so many women.

MrsG, goodness me, it must have been alarming when the Dr mentioned the C word. Thank goodness you were so vigilant and have caught it very early.

Had a temp rise this morning so pretty sure I oved yesterday and am 1DPO so Hello 2ww! DTD the last two nights so FX we caught it.

Welcome Ced. I think ovulation day can change a bit from month to month, but unless you have a month where you are majorly stressed I doubt it would change more than a day or two. I seem to ov around CD16-18.

Frolicacid · 26/09/2014 10:48

Full sympathy from me again spinning. Everything I eat is still coming back up or going straight through me. Another day of crap day time tv and trying not to read obsess too much about ttc it is then.

spinningirl10 · 26/09/2014 11:02

Oh Frolic, sorry to hear you still have the bug! I've stopped being sick thank fully. Still feel sick and only eaten dry toast!! I too am sat on the sofa watching crappy tv and googling symptoms at 8dpo Grin

frogbubbles · 26/09/2014 11:23

Morning ladies, stuck at hospital until late last night a was so tired I literally came home, made tea for me and. DS and went to bed.

Frolic thanks for the recipe, I have some bramble bushes on the allotment so will get picking blackberries this weekend for the blackberry brandy.

Belated birthday wishes ohlordy hope you had a lovely day.

Hope things are a little better today blueberry I'm sorry about your news and ttc stress sending lots of hugs your way.

MrsGB bloody hell, that is scary news I'm so glad you caught it early, I'm so moley too and have to have three dodgy ones on my tummy I have to keep an eye on. I hope the next op goes smoothly and you make a full recovery. Sending lots of hugs your way

Well Cd10 here and finally.... Drum roll please.... AF had finally stopped. I repeat AF has buggered off!!!!! After 10 days of bleeding, I'm so relieved what a total pain in the ass that's been. Now I just need to work out when I will actually Ov. DP due home tonight too after been away all week so all well in the frog house (apart from poorly grandparents) I think a bottle of wine is in order

spinningirl10 · 26/09/2014 11:47

Frog, good to hear af has finally buggered off!!

I've just ordered some htp's from Amazon but they're not next day delivery so probably won't be here until tues/wed. Not sure I'll last that long before poas, might have to pick some up in Boots.

Dozygirl · 26/09/2014 12:19

Blueberry hopefully clomid will do the trick for u and get u a BFP.

I've just been to doctors as I keep getting uti's and thrush like symptoms (just itching no dodgy discharge) so just wanted to get some tests to rule things out. I'm sure it's just from dtd too often and for so long when we do try. Got an appointment next Thursday which is close to when either BFP or AF due (hopefully BFP). Doc says it won't interfere with anything if I am pregnant by then. It comes and goes but would rather know what's going on down there especially coz we're ttc. Have been having cramps since ovulation, not sure what that means. Again I want to rule out its not infection cramps but unusual for me to get cramps this early on in my cycle. I'm probably just being ultra aware of down there because of ttc.

Sick of ppl saying to me that I need to relax about it all or it'll never happen. It's literally on my mind every minute and nothing distracts me from it so it's easy for them to say just forget about it!

Just gotta wait and see now. Only 4dpo so ages to wait.

OOh loads to catch up on.
purple sorry to hear that you had a mc, sending a hug your way x.
treacle welcome on board, sorry to see you again (in the nicest way).
Glad you finally got the house keys mrse, glad you got rid of the interlopers!
Sorry you've been poorly spinning and frolic, hope you're over it soon.
Glad you caught the mole quickly mrsg. My dad had a malignant melanoma removed a few years back. He still goes for check ups every few months and they check every inch of him [blushes] but he's fine.
Welcome ceds. The sperm meets egg plan was recommended to me. If you google it, it advises how often to dtd and when.
Thanks for the birthday wishes 8frog*. Glad af has done one x.
blueberry hope you have success with the clomid - at least you now know that there is an issue, and are armed with what you need to address it. Sorry you and dh are arguing, hope you sort it out. This ttc business is so hard on both partners and at least he's letting you know that he's stressed so you can work through it together, rather than bottling it up x.
Dozy i'm just getting over 2 weeks of cystitis type symptoms - it's hard enough ttc without that stopping you from wanting to dtd. Hope you get your issue sorted x.

gennibugs · 26/09/2014 12:43

Afternoon all!

Day 1 of temping was a disaster. I am a very light sleeper- mainly due to stress and anxiety I wake up multiple times in the night. I couldn't work out when to take my temp, then when I did it wouldn't settle on a number. Not sure temping is for me! If I wake up multiple times how do I know when to take it! Gah!

spinning hope you feel better soon.

congrats on the new house mrse - relief all round I bet!

English enjoy the hen. Oxford is a lovely city.

april I'm really enjoying the book so far Smile

blueberry hope you are ok today.

welcome to newbies. here's hoping October is the luckiest bus of all!!

spinningirl10 · 26/09/2014 13:17

Genni, that's why I don't temp. Dp works shifts and comes and goes at all hours so I always have disturbed sleep.

broodylicious · 26/09/2014 13:25

genni, that's why I don't temp, I'd fe all flummoxed by when and how and I'd just get myself into a tizz over it not unlike a toddler strop no doubt I know a lot of ladies on here use it though and I'm sure they'll give you more words of encouragement and wisdom. Hang in there x

english, have a super hen weekend, should be fab in Oxford.

Here's man ttc humour for you all... Woke up this morning feeling fine, then came over all dizzy for a few hours, almost like the room was spinning without the alcohol or late night. Had a drink and breakfast but still felt funny. Put washing out, thinking a breath of air might help but to no avail. Told dh and his response was: "what cycle day is it? 10? Well, we've dtd a few times so it's clearly a symptom. It's been over 12 hours since we last did it, so Baby is probably the size of an orange by now". He's so sarcastic and cheeky but it does show that a) he listens to possible symptoms b) understands I'm looking for every single symptom and c) how to use this knowledge in humour! Grin

Ah so it's not just me then! Grin Thanks for reassuring me everyone!

Maybe I'll just not bother then. I was thinking it's just about the last thing I haven't tried but it's obviously not as easy as I thought!

Loving these DH stories!!! Grin

TerrysNo2 · 26/09/2014 13:44

hi all, not had a chance to read much as DH and I are in Edinburgh for the Ryder Cup.

Genni temping can be obsessive but I also find it really helpful and very clever. I try not to obsess too much about the time though as I've noticed that even if I have restless sleep or take it at the wrong time, the temp range of that time in my cycle is still helpful. For example if I am in the first half, even if it's a bit skewed its still usually in the lower half of the graph and vice versa for after ovulation. I try and take my temp around 7am but it can be anytime 30 minutes either side. If you're interested you can see my chart here:

fertilityfriend.com/home/terrysno2

Aprilray · 26/09/2014 14:02

I second what Terrys said re temping! I am a fan as I like to confirm I have definitely ovulated. My DH has actually started asking me what my temp is in the morning. I don't do it every day of my cycle, just a few days leading up to ov and I tend to stop once I have confirmed ov until the PMT hormones kick in and I start temping again to make sure it's still high! I wake once in the night most nights for the loo but just go back to sleep and take my temp before I get up.
I've been sleeping really well recently and wonder if it could be my relaxation CD, I have been doing it before bed, it only takes around 15-20 minutes so may be something to think about.

xBlueberry88x · 26/09/2014 14:37

Afternoon Ladies,

Thank you so much for the replies. (I almost cried).

Sunbathing Me and DP are okay now still no dtd but ive given up on this month anyway. It seems that he is starting to get alot of the 'when are you having kids? or your next' and its getting to him.

Spinning Thanks for the hugs very much needed at the moment. Im trying to be positive about it. And im not sure if what he said was completely right as I am getting positive opks and ovulation pain but at least he didnt make me wait. Id have either cried or punched him I think lol. Hope your feeling better lovely.

English If only I could eat a take away hes also told me to still loose weight so I have to behave.

Genni We have lots of couple time thats not a problem but were okay now. thanks for the advise hun.
I dont temp because im always waking up and if im not working theres no way im getting up early to do it lol.

Ginger So glad you caught it early, how did you know it was a problem? I have loads of moles and do try to check them often.

Treacle Sorry your joining us!

Pikz Thanks for the hug! Hope you catch the egg!

MrsE lol How rude id have been annoyed they were still there. Glad its all finally through and you can get in there. We bought a victorian house last year and the people before were not the best of decorators theres loads I want to do to it.

Ced I tend to get my positive opk the same day sometimes the day after. I normally get EWCM the day before positive opk. Dtd is up to the person but EOD up until positive and then every day for a few days should be sufficient!

Thanks Dozy

OhLordy I expect hes been bottling it up for a while hes not one for talking.

Hope every one is doing ok.

Im trying very hard to not let it all get to me, im so thankful I have you lot to talk to!

spinningirl10 · 26/09/2014 15:41

April and Terry, good to hear your temping stories, now I'm thinking that I might give it a go. I've always been put off by thinking it has to be the exact same time everyday but maybe I could give it a go and see what happens. I could probably take it within an hours time frame, do you think that would be ok?

Blueberry, pleased to hear you're sounding a bit brighter today, I really hope the clomid works quickly for you and you soon have your bfp.
