Thanks april and terry - that's really useful. I shall persevere - and if I have any questions - I know who to ask! The main thing I want to see is when/if I've ov'd so hoping I'd at least be able to see that. I shall report back to you all on how i get on Grin . terry thanks for your chart I will have a nosy when I'm home later! think it will be useful to see a real chart. lucky you at ryder cup - think my DH is going to be glued to it all weekend!

blueberry glad you checked in. FX the clomid helps.

gennibugs · 26/09/2014 16:16

april would love to know what cd you used if you don't mind?

Aprilray · 26/09/2014 16:39

Genni it is the Zita West one, you can get it from Amazon. It was £16.00 and is fairly short so I thought it was a bit of a rip off at first but I feel so much more positive and relaxed so it must doing something!

Spinning I take my temp when I wake at 7.30am. I read that you add 0.1 degrees for every half hour early you take it so if I wake at around 7am I add 0.1 degrees and the opposite if I wake up late. My cat doesn't often let me lay in though so that rarely happens! There is a website where it adjusts your temp for you - comes up if you google it.
One problem is Wine it raises your temp so you don't know if it is high or just the Wine!

lucieloos · 26/09/2014 16:50

Genni I can second the zita west cd. It is short but I find it quite relaxing, the last couple of times I've used it I have dozed off before the end! I picked mine up on eBay for about £3.50 and have just sold it on there again (downloaded onto my phone first) so might be worth looking on there if you do want a copy.

Aprilray · 26/09/2014 17:08

Bargain Lucie! should have looked on Ebay myself.

spinningirl10 · 26/09/2014 18:09

Thanks April, I use ff so I know I can add temps to there. I rarely drink, I'm an all or nothing kind of girl so that won't be an issue for me. I shall get a thermometer if af arrives next week.

Terri, my dp would love to be at the Ryder Cup, he's been before and loved it, have funGrin

sparkle17 · 26/09/2014 18:21

I might give this cd a wee try, do you listen to it with headphones on. i think dh might not dig it.

MrsG so glad you caught your mole early. good advice for everyone.

Happy moving day MrsE

Blueberry sorry dh is still being a pain. sounds like you are getting some help from the doctors though and they are listening to you.

Not long till the bus departs.

I got EWCM today, Woo hoo, so happy. I've not really had any before. I have upped my dose of EPO to 2000mg and taken cough medicine for the 2nd month too. I got a flashy smiley today (3rd one) last 3 months I have had only 1 or 2 flashy days. so though I might have got a solid one today. I will be cd14 tomorrow and that is when I have usually gotten a solid so all going to plan really. Although I got a pos on an ic opk. So think I will dtd tonight, but might mean I feel the need to do 4 nights in a row. It is the weekend though so shoudl be ok.

I got a parcel in the post today but missed.Pretty sure it is my soft cups. So can't use them tonight (if i even will use them), still scared to try them.

lucieloos · 26/09/2014 18:38

Sparkle I usually use the cd when dh is out but he does go out a couple of nights a week and on the wknd so I have a nice bit of chill out time to myself. Otherwise I probably would use it with headphones or DH would think I was mad!

Also soft cups are brill and nothing to worry about getting them in or out although I decided not to use them this month apart from the one time.

gennibugs · 26/09/2014 18:41

I'm going to look into that cd. Thanks for the tips!

april the temp info is great too! my cat never let's me lie in either too Smile

I had a quick look on you tube and there are lots of fertility meditations on there too but no idea if they are any good.

I already lie on my bed of nails most nights and try to relax but perhaps a cd will help too.

MrsGingerbread · 26/09/2014 19:42

Hello ladies,

Thanks for the good wishes. Op is next Thursday, really looking forward to it being done. Dh has promised me Chinese as a reward that evening. :) Last one was quite sore so I think at least a day off work is in order.

I noticed it when I found a thin layer of suncream still on it after a shower. That then made me look at it closer. It is on the back of my upper arm so I can't see it without a mirror.

The back of arms is a particularly common place for melanoma in women. I am very pale but always use factor 50 and never use sunbeds.

Just fyi you are looking for the ABCDE.. worth showing your gp anything that alerts you using this,
you don't need all 5...

Asymmetrical
irregular Borders
more than one Colour
bigger in Diameter than the end of a pencil
Evolving - changes over time

My consultant said it was what is abnormal FOR YOU. This one was my darkest by quite a bit. So your 'ugliest' mole is worth looking at in particular.

Sorry, didn't mean to go on!

MrsGingerbread · 26/09/2014 19:51

Back to ttc- I wouldn't be without temping or softcups! Temping gives you great info around ov time. Soft cups really aren't anything to worry about. Personally I think they make the time after dtd much more pleasant and less icky. :)

Thepurplegiraffe · 26/09/2014 19:53

You are not going on at all Mrsgingerbread, that is fantastic advice for all of us. I will definitely be looking more carefully. So glad you caught it early, hope that the op goes well, I would say a day off is in order at the very least!

broodylicious · 26/09/2014 19:54

Lol at your dh sunbathing! I honestly think mine just had no idea about there being a most fertile time of the month thing until we started ttc for this bubba. When we were trying for our dd, I used opks once and that was the month I got upduffed - ovulation was timed perfectly to coincide with a fab weekend away in Germany to watch David Haye boxing - so I just don't think we talked much about fertile times etc because I was a bit late to the opk party. Now though, as I'm reaching my 36th birthday at Xmas and mindful of the ever increasing gap between our dd and, god willing, her sibling, I reckon I'm a bit more desperate keen on using any tools we can to help us conceive. Dh is on board with the opks and defo lots of well timed TITH so fx we are doing all we can.

blueberry, hope the clomid helps you get that bfp. Pleased to read you and hubs are getting on ok. It's hard enough with this ttc malarkey without falling out with each other xx

broodylicious · 26/09/2014 20:00

Btw loving the idea of that chill out cd. Defo need one of those!!

mrsg, I second that you're not going on - it astounds me how common skin cancer is, yet I can't tell you honestly that I've checked my moles recently. I have one on the side of my face, along the jaw line just below my ear, and it feels a little bigger when I just touched it so thanks to you, I am going to get it checked out to be safe.

Jackiebrambles · 26/09/2014 20:13

Evening ladies!
Just checking in, it's cd7 here and I've decided this cycle I'm going to be religious about the opks and do them every day, twice on days when I get ewcm.

Going to attempt to dtd eod this cycle, I'm sure we won't be able to though!

Treaclepie19 · 26/09/2014 20:22

Thanks ladies, it's shit that af arrived but at least i get to spend my time ttc with all of you.
And wine.
Lots of wine... :p

broodylicious · 26/09/2014 22:39

Hi jackie. I know what you mean re dtd eod - we've only been at it since earlier this week and last night I was already like "can we just skip the foreplay? I need sleep" lol! Still, needs must and I really must get upduffed ;)

Treaclepie19 · 26/09/2014 22:45

Anyone for a cosmopolitan?

I didn't watch eastenders. Been watching x factor, gogglebox and later Alan Carr.
