Pregnant again!!!!!!

We are TCC ouR first baby. I had a very early miscarriage at 5.5 weeks at the beginning of July. We decided to wait until I had a normal period before trying again. So I had a period starting on 30th July. We agreed that we would wait and see if my AF came (due tomorrow). If not we would test at the weekend.

However I got very impatient and my nipples feel funny (probably my
Imagination) so we tested this morning- BFP!!!!!

I'm so happy and excited but also terrified of the same thing happening again. I'm just waiting for the bleeding to start. It's silly I know but please help me be excited not frightened!

Fwiw I had a very early mc at 5-6 weeks back in 2009, I know how devastating it is. After that mc we decided to ttc again straight away once I had finished bleeding, got pregnant again quite quickly like you ( :) ) I fretted for the first 3 months that something was just about to go wrong, constantly knicker checking, symptom checking....

Ds2 was born happy and healthy in July 2010 :)

same here - early mc one month, got pregnant the very next, DS is happy and healthy.

Same here so I know it's hard but don't think the same thing will happen, have a healthy happy pregnancy x

Try not to worry too much. It's vey common for first pgs not to 'take'.

I had an early 3-4 week mc the month before I fell pg with my DS!

I was soooo terrified of going to the toilet it took weeks to get over it!

I had a mmc, last September and fell pregnant in January this year, the worry of things going wrong was very much there from day 1, the night before my 12 week scan I was a total wreck, however a complete weight was lifted off my shoulders when he was there bouncing away.

Got my happy ending, ds is currently fast asleep on my chest born 6 weeks early and is now 2 weeks old!

Amazing stories! Thanks for making me feel better. I have so far resisted the temptation to keep repeating the test- but it is hard. Going on holiday for a week soon so that may help to pass the time! When I get back I'll be 7 weeks. Is this too late for my first appointment with the midwife?

7 weeks is no way too late for your first appointment, some places don't even see you until 8+ :)

Just out of interest, does af after an early cm arrive at its usual time or later/earlier?

I think it can really vary but my AF came 29 days after the first day of bleeding of the MC. So pretty much normal timing!
