Hi all. I'm new to this. Have been TTC for two cycles now and understand the best chance is to DTD at the time of ovulation. I have an app on my phone which predicts this and I can also use the ovulation testing kits. My question is - when is the best time to be doing the deed? - a couple of days BEFORE Ovulation, within 48 hours of (keep reading different things) or do you all make sure to do it every couple of days for a whole week?

DH and I are ships passing in the night at times so it's really really hard to find the time to DTD more than once a week!

Hi! Google the SMEP plan online. I think that will be a good strategy to go for. Good luck!

You are more likely to conceive if you have sex in the days just before ovulation as sperm can survive up to 5 days whereas the egg will only survive for about 24 hours after ovulation.

Don't rely too much on an app to predict your ovulation, it is better that you get to know your own signs which may take you a few months to pin down as you may vary by a day or two here and there.

Thanks for the info, I'll follow the SMEP.
