Hi,

Don't know if anybody has had a similar experience. We've been TTC DC2 for 19 months, got pg with DD without trying. I had some brown spotting last Weds morning at 10dpo & 3 days before AF expected arrival. I POAS on Fri morning but BFN, but I thought maybe it was too early, didn't use FMU (although not essential I believe it is better) & it was just a cheap stick test & the OPK ones never worked for me.

On Friday night I had blood not loads but I thought definitely AF (it was only ever brown with DD no blood). Since then I seem to be getting watery brown or watery pink & sometimes tiny hints of blood. This morning I had a lighter coloured red blood when I wiped but then back to pale/brown or watery pink-brown (sorry if TMI) It seems to stop at night as well. Since yesterday my tummy has felt a bit strange like I'm going to get a very heavy AF but then nothing.

I know I'm not pregnant but I have been feeling really tired lately & I'm just wondering if something else could be wrong. I know it could just be an odd AF this month.

Just wondering if anyone else had similar?

Have you tested since Fri? It sounds like you could still be in the running.
Sympathies from me, we've been ttc#2 for 26 months after getting pg with DD without trying. Hard isn't it.

Thanks for your reply threepiecesuite

No I haven't tested again. At the back of my mind I keep thinking I might be after all, it is really strange what is going on though.

Yes it is very hard don't understand how I could get pg first time so easily but not second. This is first time I've tested since trying for our second never really had any reason to think I was pregnant before.

I had very similar a couple of months ago and was crossing my fingers for implantation bleeding but after a few days of it went to my gp who advised to count the first day of spotting as the first day of my period. I had previously had an anovulatory cycle with light bleeding (though not as light) confirmed with a blood test so I think perhaps the weird spotting etc was because of an anovulatory cycle. On my next cycle I had blood tests confirming ovulation and a proper period, followed the next month by a bfp so not all bad news!

Thanks for sharing your experience acemay maybe that's what it is with me. I know deep down I'm not pregnant although there is a tiny bit of me that's thinking/hoping its implantation, silly really but we've been trying for 19 months now for our second.

I'm going to make an appointment at the doctors to try & find out why I'm not conceiving.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, I've definitely read about people with similar bleeding where it was pregnancy so could be Smile

If not though definitely don't be concerned about going to your GP, I was worried they'd just fob me of but they were great. Knowing I was having anovulatory cycles also enabled me to look into vitamins and herbal remedies which I think may have helped.

Thanks acemay.

I think I will have a look at anovulatory cycles on the internet. I've made an appointment at the docs for next week, I was going to make an appointment anyway because we've been trying so long and I think I need to find out why it's not happened but I will also mention what has happened with this AF. It's like it's trying it's best to come out but not quite making it yet! I usually have a couple of days of very heavy bleed.

My tummy still feels a bit strange as well.

Is your pain one sided at all? If you're worried test again and then see your go. Xx

Tranquilitybaby · 28/08/2014 08:25

Gp

BobsyBoo · 28/08/2014 18:30

No it wasn't Tranquilitybaby it was more of an uncomfortable feeling than pain anyway. Unfortunately AF eventually arrived in full force Sad

Going to see my GP anyway to try and find out why I'm not conceiving.

Thanks. xx
