TTC - Ovulation Tests

Hi all. DS and I are TTC #3 and hoping to sway for a girl as already have two gorgeous boys. For the record and before I get flamed though I would be more than happy with any sex and consider ourselves extremely lucky to be able to have any babies at all. This will be our last though so thought we have nothing to loose by 'trying' for a girl this time. I am planning on the Shettles method and want to know if once I start getting a + on ovulation tests how long after ovulation occurs?? So if we are supposed to try up until 3 days before ovulation and I am getting +ve on the ovulation test does that mean I am already ovulating or that I am about to???

Admittedly I've no idea about Shettles method but in sure I've seen it mentioned on here before - maybe search "Shettles" in the talk section? Might bring up previous threads about it.

As frontier opk's, they only detect the surge that you're about to ovulate. Hope that helps, and good luck :)
