period pains after ovulation?

My AF is due in 10days time, and for the last 4 days (starting 3days after my positive O) I've been having really bad period like pains, cramps, painful bloating and sore beasts, which I usually get about 2-3days before my AF is due, not 2weeks before not to mention I've been feeling nauseous and dizzy on and off all day, and getting woken up in the night with hot flushes... Last week I also got a sinus infection, which has left me feeling a bit crap all together! I'm confused though as I didn't think you could/should get period symptoms that soon after ovulation? Has anyone else experienced this before? X

My ovulation symptoms are a milder version of period symptoms. They always have been - it's how I know when I'm ovulating.

I had those massive symptoms 2 months ago. I was literally bent over in pain when I was ovulating, and I was at work :(. 3/4 days after ovulation my belly was really bloated, cramps, heavy/sore breasts, nausea and indigestion. My af was a week late and one day I felt something burst inside my cervix and I started to bleed/af. I was convinced that I was pregnant although I kept getting BFN on all tests. By coincidence I had an appointment with my gynae and I had a scan and he confirmed I had gotten pregnant.

Give it a few more days and do a test. FX to you! x

Thanks Waffle and Curly, everything seems to be different for me this month, had an early positive O also which threw me, and now all this, I'm still having the same symptoms even now... So even though I don't want to get my hopes up, I've gone and bought a test and if no AF by say Wednesday (I'm actually due Sunday, but as my O was early, in theory, my AF should also be early and arrive Wednesday) then I'll take it! Fingers crossed! x
