Which tests to buy?

New to all this, AF due on Thursday, if it doesn't show I will probably buy whatever is cheapest in Tesco as it's my nearest.

But for future reference, what are these "internet cheapies" I hear so much about? Where should I get them, and is there anything I should know about different tests?

You get internet cheapies on the internet, of course. Ebay and amazon are good I hear.

Sometimes tests will say how many mmg of HcG hormone they can detect etc, the CB ones take a lot of HCG (especially digitals). I hear tesco and superdrug are sensitive.

However once your AF is late by a few days they should all read positive if you are pregnant, a few woman have low HCG even if they are but that's the exception and not the norm.

Lol the internet is huge! Even ebay has 2,971 results for a search for "pregnancy test", so not as daft a question as it sounded Blush

I'll see how prices compare and maybe just stick to Tesco ones from round the corner then, I could probably save a fortune by just waiting a couple of extra days for AF, but it's so hard to wait and not drink wine !

Superdrug tests are good. X

The first response early response ones are really good. But they're expensive so if you're going to be poas before AF is due each month it's not worth it. But the internet ones don't give you a line as quickly even though they're meant to be as sensitive! You could buy them and then if you get a hint of a line use the frer to confirm! Most people seem to say pink line ones are better than blue. And digitals are less sensitive!

I'm not a massive expert. I poas with a frer when I got my bfp and then did an ic and tesco a few days later because I had them in! But I have read a lot of stuff on the conception boards.

Good luck :)
