First attempt at posting a pic, hopefully it works!
I ovulated on 31st July (had to google what the hell was happening as after nearly a decade on Depo I had no idea about CM!) and DTD on 3rd August. AF was due around the 13/14th I think. Dug out an old (but not out of date) Tesco test on a bit of a whim and voila ...
What do we think?

No one?!

Umm... That's a line!

Congrats. Smile

mswibble · 18/08/2014 23:24

Thank you!!
Its only the 2nd test ive ever taken so didnt know if the whole 'a line is a line' could be applied to something so faint!

Eeek! Will buy another pack tomorrow morning and test again. I did this one at 8pm so maybe a m9rning reading will be stronger.

That isn't a faint line at all. It's an obvious, easy to see, no squinting required line.

Really, no more testing necessary. You are pregnant. Congratulations.

EvilHerbivore · 18/08/2014 23:29

Yep, congratulations! Thats a line! (and I never normally "see" them on these threads!)

mswibble · 18/08/2014 23:37

Ooh I feel all scared and excited at the same time! :)

Going to have to start doing some major research into the do's and donts - am v clueless. And it will be a smelly cheese and port free Christmas, but worth it!

Tranquilitybaby · 19/08/2014 01:16

Not feint at all, a very definite pregnant line! Congrats.

mswibble · 19/08/2014 17:49

Well, possibly the most underwhelming response ever from my OH. Hmmph. I know he's ill and feeling absolutely rotten but im still a little gutted. He's like a robot at the best of times, but had hoped for a bit more enthusiasm!

Congrats OP!
What did your DH say when you told him the good news then? Intrigued...

mswibble · 19/08/2014 21:33

Well its nearly 12hrs since I told him on the phone this morning. Im yet to recieve a hug, kiss, anything. This is because he's lurgified to the max apparently so wont come near me (being slightly unfair, he has a fever, chills, aches, etc) but I cant help feeling a tad devastated by the way its panned out. The checkout girl in Tesco was far more excited for me than OH (bought a fancy pg test this morning, couldnt help myself!)

One of his first comments was that this would make it hard to go back home as often (he's Irish). That was a real WTF moment for me. He insisted he was being 'positive' about it, which, im welling up writing this, just upsets me. POSITIVE?! The word you're looking for is HAPPY! Or EXCITED. FFS.

I havent trapped him, we've been together 9 years, we discussed it when I came off Depo. This was the plan.

Im really hoping its just shock and he's just finding it hard to take in. We both thought it would have taken much longer than it has. I had my last Depo in December 13 so 8 months for everything to start up again.

Feel so much better now. Had a proper snotty nosed blub and told him how disappointed I am in the whole thing and how he has reacted. He is excited and happy, everything I wanted him to be but he's crap at expressing himself at the best of times, nevermind when he's feeling so ropey. I feel bad now for getting so het up!

There is so much we have to think about but im going to try and keep my sanity until the first scan at least. I keep forgetting its extremely early days, 2 weeks by my reckoning.

awww men are just so frustrating at times aren't they!! Huge congrats though :D I had my last depo in Feb and still not had a visit from AF, though I think I'm ovulating, but glad to hear yours came back after 8 months! :) Sorry to ask, but did you get a period?

CherryPie3 · 20/08/2014 10:02

Aww congratulations! :)

Your dh's reaction sounds like my dh's when I told him my waters had broken at 11pm 4 weeks early. I gently woke him up and got:

"What now? I've just done a 12hr shift!"

Oh well my apologies then, I'll just go back to sleep and pretend nothing happened whilst leaking all over you.

He got up rather quickly after that. Grin

mswibble · 20/08/2014 10:36

Jellypi3 - I got my first visit at the end of May. Then a crazy two months of bleeding for a week, off for a week, back on for a week. That was fun! Ended up having scans and internal examinations to check everything out but I think my hormones were just going wild as it calmed down all of a sudden. I tried taking that Angus Castus stuff but I didnt remember to take it regularly so I couldnt really comment on whether it worked.

I know I ovulated on the 31st July as I had to google what this strange jelly stuff was! Read it meant I was ovulating and marked it down in my diary, accompanied by a smiley face!

Haha cherrypie, how inconvenient of you and bump!

I tell you what I will not be doing, watching any of One Born Every Minute!

OP posts:
CherryPie3 · 20/08/2014 11:02

Haha I know. I think it was just the sleepy talking rather genuine inconvenience. He was very excited once he'd woken up properly :) xx

mswibble · 20/08/2014 11:25

OH is definitely getting used to it now. This mirning he told me he definitely wants two kids, close together like him and his brother!
I think we'll be discussing that one but feeling v yay that he doesnt look like a frightened bunny anymore!

Sounds like he's got his head around it now :)
