1st period after pregnancy

Just wondering people's experiences, did your cycle return to normal length from your very first period after pregnancy? Lo is 10 months and we're ttc #2, cycle was average at 30 days but not sure if I should expect a settle in phase before more regular ovulation. I'm still bf.

My cycle used to be clockwork every 30 days and lasting 7 days. My baby is 8mths and my cycle has been anywhere from 23 to 28 days but has dropped to lasting 5 days each time.
