Hello everyone.
Im interested in hearing stories from people who have had implant removal. Been told in family planning clinic that fertility returns to normal really quickly but also heard lots of people waiting a long time for cycles to return.
Now im concerned.
Im planning on having implant removed at end of sept and TTC #1.
does any one have any advice on what to fo before TTC in hindsight??
Thanks Kat xx

It took us 18 months and 3 cycles of clomid to conceive after I had my implant removed (I was on my third implant so about 8 years of them).
Tests showed that my prolactin levels were elevated which the GP said was preventing ovulation and thought the cause was my bipolar medication.
I still think that being on the implant for so long had an impact, but we got there in the end!
Having said that I've heard of other people getting pregnant very quickly!
It took about 6 weeks for a bleed for me and then my cycles were all over the place. I also never bled on the implant if that makes a difference...

Best of luck with TTC Smile

Ive had about 9 years with implant and only very light periods every 3 months. Changed to nexplanon in november. But fingers crossed as we take the plunge.
