Here, we go, nice new thread.
Might be helpful to have some stats so we know where we all are?

I will start, farfallarocks - TTC#2, cycle 11. 1st brooking baby DD, 21 months. Investigations reveal high FSH and potentially starting IVF.

Morning girls, how did you sleep?

Geek are you still lurking? How are you doing, lovely? You don't need to answer of course, but know we're all thinking of you xx

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 10/09/2014 10:42

Ba ha ha at ovulating with orgasm! Maybe, don't you wish that were true?

Also PMSL at Imps and the electrified nipple.

Re Duchess of Cambridge - I don't mind the diffed announcement, but when she went into labour the last time and the world's press camped outside the hospital waiting for the birth I got v weird. It was the assumption that nothing could possibly go wrong and it was only a matter of time until a happy announcement that got me. Mainly because I knew she'd be surrounded by the best team possible and any problems with the baby would get picked up immediately and an EMCS performed.

Imps9 · 10/09/2014 13:08

It must have been bloody awful for her as well, knowing that people were camped outside waiting for her to finish. What pressure! But yes, I guess she wouldn't have has the worry of under-staffing and would have known there was pretty much nothing that could go wrong.

I was looking at my diary earlier and my HSG was 10 June - this would have been second ovulation after that. They say there's a slightly increased chance of conception for 3 months post-HSG don't they? So that might have helped I suppose.

DinoSnores · 10/09/2014 14:42

My DSis is rather cross at me because I am not going to tell her once I have gone into labour. I don't want anyone to know (apart from the people looking after the DC obviously). Everyone can find out when he or she has arrived.

I do feel sorry for the DoC because plenty could go wrong and don't agree that nothing couldn't wrong sadly, and if it is does, she is going to have to deal with it very, very publicly. If she is only 7 weeks as some news reports suggest, it really is very early days.

I find it hard that there is the assumption from the media that all is guaranteed to go well. I even complained last time about a Guide unit releasing a Royal Baby badge (not an official Girlguiding one) when they first announced it last time as it was just so early.

farfallarocks · 10/09/2014 16:48

I agree that the treatment of her in labour was shocking. I actually met a photographer on the beach on holiday who said they were camped out every day from 1st July. Absurd! Equally awful that she has to go public so early, although imagine they will have waited for a scan and early heart beat which puts your odds at about 95% I believe.

imps how are those boobs?

Another row in the far household last night, again about dtd. Honestly this has turned into some huge mental block for us. Bring on IVF!! I honestly think it might be less stressful than this nonsense every month. Feeling very resentful of DH at the moment, not the best sentiment to have when TTC!

Evening all, hope you're all well. Just chucking my 2p worth in before GBBO, I actually feel sorry for the DoC, not the privilege and all that, but as a pregnant mother having every detail if her womb, it's contents, condition of her cervix and speculation about how much vomit she's producing being picked over by the press and discussed in less than favourable manner by lots of people. I'm sick of hearing her HG minimised as 'morning sickness' all over the press as a pregnant mother she should be allowed to have some privacy, they should back off and let the poor woman recover in peace and talk about it when/if she's ready.

Rant over.

Who fancies a BrewCake for GBBO time?

Munxx · 10/09/2014 21:19

Evening all!

I very much enjoyed GBBO tonight, although I only had a chocolate biscuit to accompany my tea.

I would also like to say that we don't know what private struggles the DoC may have had, it's easy to see her small age gap and assume it was easy for her.

I say this as someone who has a small age gap, but between DC I had miscarriages and fertility clinic referrals due to markers on my blood work pointing to non ovulation. I was incredibly lucky, I know that. Massively so and I count my blessings over my two miracles everyday. And yes, perhaps the D and DoC had no issues or troubles. But we don't know that.

Just my thoughts on it.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 10/09/2014 21:49

I like your thoughts Munxx :) although I think a biscuit with GBBO is totally inadequate and you should have a triple layer caramel cake next week Wink

Munxx · 10/09/2014 21:54

I hope you're offering to bake, package up and send it Boo!

The day I've had today, a triple layer cake wouldn't even touch the sides ;)

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 10/09/2014 22:07

Ummm Confused

Imps9 · 11/09/2014 07:04

I didn't see Bake Off as I was out until 10pm and they hadn't put it on iPlayer by then I'm going to do my best to avoid spoilers today but reckon I'm going to find out who went by the time I get to watch it

How did the baking go last night Boo and Munx?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/09/2014 09:04

Totally agree with you all. I feel so sorry for Kate. HG is bloody awful, I'm also sick of hearing it's 'just a but if morning sickness'. My mil told me that my whole pregnancy, and I wanted to kill her Grin

I bloody love the GBBO!! Cake all round!! Hope today is better for you lovely Munx

When is MrI back Imps?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/09/2014 11:02

My post got eaten

Long story short, I feel for DoC, I love cake, I hoped Munx has a better day, and I was hugging Boo for no reason

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 11/09/2014 11:58

Squeezes Maybe back :)

How is everyone today? Hope were all having good days. Teen boo is settling into college really well (and brings muffins home Grin) school boo (formally toddly boo) is having a bit of anxiety at drop off time but soon settled and enjoys his days there and toddly boo (booby) is loving the extra mummy time Grin (mummy is rather enjoying it too Wink.

farfallarocks · 11/09/2014 12:39

I am very hungover and waiting for the day to end so I can get under the duvet!

Mini far got her football kit through the post today, she starts little kickers on Saturday (!)

imps when does mrimps arrive home, I can't bear it! How are the nips today?

What happened munx?

geek thinking of you and hope you are doing ok. xx

Imps9 · 11/09/2014 13:43

How exciting Far! Are you a footballing household? Which footie kit has she got? Nips are all fine today. A slight boob ache but nothing out of the ordinary. I tell you what I have got though - an excruciatingly stiff neck. I can't turn my head! Must have slept oddly - am pretty sure a stiff neck isn't a symptom of diffedness/mc.

Mr Imps back on Sat. I may tell him when he's waiting at airport for flight home - had a horrible dream last night that his plane crashed and he never got to know about the BFP.

What were you doing last night to get a hangover Far? And on a school night too!

farfallarocks · 11/09/2014 13:57

Oh imps what a horrible dream! That will be a fun flight for him then!
Not footballing at all, in fact least sporting couple ever so we want to see if we can buck the genetics and get minifar into something early doors. Apparently they love it, running around after the ball. Its a standard issue uniform for the class but its red so it looks a bit Man U to me!

Imps9 · 12/09/2014 11:54

No joke Far - I've had the Match of the Day theme tune stuck in my head since reading your post last night!! It's starting to get annoying now, if I'm honest.

Managed to watch Weds' GBBO last night - what a cracking episode!! I'd forgotten that they were already one man down so it didn't occur to me that R and K would both stay. I can't call who's going to be in the final - deffo Luis but no idea who else. It's all too close to call!!

What are your weekend plans everyone?

DinoSnores · 12/09/2014 14:33

Chetna is the wife of a colleague so all Norman-related allegiance has been switched to her since he left then I found out that!

Imps9 · 12/09/2014 16:25

I do like Chetna! Would love to try her food as they rave about the flavours. Have you tried haranguing your colleague to bring in baked goods?

keepitgoing · 13/09/2014 09:31

imps when is mrimps back? how are you going to tell him, just blurt it out?

cartoontrickster · 13/09/2014 12:31

was wondering the same keep Grin

farfallarocks · 13/09/2014 13:19

I imagine mr and mrs imps are celebrating! Checking for an update Grin

Football today was amazing, great teacher, what a job!! Keeping toddlers occupied and following instructions he was great.
Happy weekend to you all brookers

Imps9 · 13/09/2014 15:33

Mr Imps is back! I actually emailed him last night while he was waiting for take off - his response wasn't quite what I expected: "Wow!!! When was your last period?" Errrrmm okay there Dr Imps! He's stunned but very happy, although we're acutely aware of the risk of things going wrong so we're not getting ahead of ourselves.

Far - football sounds great. Are you going to be one of those over-competitive mums, calling the referee a wanker when a decision goes the other team's way??

Keep, Trix how are you both? And everyone else??

Imps9 · 13/09/2014 15:36

Oh, and I showed Mr Imps the FRER earlier - he said "but aren't the pink lines supposed to turn blue if you're pregnant"? Bless him. Luckily I'd done a digital one - he found it easier to understand seeing it spelled out.
