Here, we go, nice new thread.
Might be helpful to have some stats so we know where we all are?

I will start, farfallarocks - TTC#2, cycle 11. 1st brooking baby DD, 21 months. Investigations reveal high FSH and potentially starting IVF.

Oh my goodness IMPS!!! what great news to come back to!! Yay a BFP!! Sorry again for not being around much and not seeing this sooner. How is MrImps taking the news now? Sinking in a little? To be honest I think it wasn't until I was 17-18 weeks that we started to actually believe it!! I would attempt some gymnastics but I've got little A sleeping on me, he's not been well at all today with a very blocked nose!

Also wow Dino only a couple of weeks left! how exciting!!

Got to go again as it'll soon be bath time but hopefully be back later unless of course I fall into a heap on the bed with exhaustion!!

Imps9 · 15/09/2014 19:29

Oooh hello solars!! Lovely to see you. How lovely to see you here with your littl'un - sorry he's not well though. How old is he now?

Mr Imps is happy but neither of us believe it. His consultant told him that he would never conceive naturally, not that there was a slim chance, or that it might take a long time. Which is why I'm a bit cautious of messing up the IVF referral if this one doesn't turn out okay. Although I am of course brooking no argument that it will!

How have you and DH settled into parenthood?

Imps9 · 16/09/2014 06:50

Morning lovelies. How did you sleep?

The bits either side of my fanjo at the tops of my legs have swollen up a bit - is this normal?

Pastamancer · 16/09/2014 07:01

Welcome to the wonderful world of the pregnant body Grin

Imps9 · 16/09/2014 07:08

It's really weird!

Pastamancer · 16/09/2014 07:28

You've got ages yet. Plenty more weird things still to come. How far along are you now?

I didn't have any cravings with dd and nothing so far this time. When do they normally start as I feel like I'm missing out

Imps9 · 16/09/2014 07:32

5 weeks today probably, or maybe it will be 5 weeks on Thursday. Didn't think visible changes would happen so quickly!

farfallarocks · 16/09/2014 09:52

Imps, no idea about that but all sorts of things happen to your body due to increased blood flow and hormones. I do understand your state of not quite believing, its totally normal in longer term TTCers.

Can you go for an early scan at 6/7 weeks? I think it will give you tremendous reassurance and you should be able to see a heartbeat at that stage.

All crossed!

solars hello! First appointment at ARGC later, I am so nervous!!
I hope the little man is feeling better, littlefar has been under the weather too :(

What time is your appt Far??

farfallarocks · 16/09/2014 14:01

Hi imps just got back and was super impressed. Everyone was very friendly, we were seen on time which I had heard was sometimes an issue.
Everything was explained to us in detail. DH has a sperm test and we both had some blood tests including immune testing for me (10 vials of blood winging their way to Chicago!)

Start the monitoring cycle on day 1 of AF where they just monitor a natural cycle and then potentially start in October! Obviously I will get a BFP before then, imps style!

DH and I left feeling quite positive about the whole process!

Solars · 16/09/2014 15:39

Imps I can't believe it but A is already just over 6 months old! DH and I are loving being parents finally, we do really feel blessed for getting the opportunity and we're both absolutely in love with A!! Olbas and snufflebabe have worked wonders last night and today so A is a lot brighter and happier today!

I had no cravings at all which I was majorly disappointed with, I never got the chance to wake up DH in the night to go and fetch me something!! Pregnancy can do strange things to your body, heartburn, carpal tunnel and also an irregular heartbeat were some of my symptoms!! Are you still testing by the way Imps?

Sorry to hear your little one is under the weather too Far hope she's better soon! So pleased your appointment went well, do you remember who you had? You'll be making many trips round the corner getting your blood drawn too, well hopefully not as you're obviously going to do an Imps!

farfallarocks · 16/09/2014 16:47

Ah yes I was impressed with round the corner, very quick and efficient!

I can't remember his name, very long, think it began with a K, African chap. Any idea?

Glad you're feeling so positive Far, it feels so good to have a plan of action.

Ooh, got to love a symptom Imps!

Pasta I had more aversions than cravings. But that was probably the HG talking.

So pleased A is brighter today Solars. My A will be 6 months next week. How is that even possible?! I hope no one minds, but here is a little pic of here in her first shopping trolley outing Wink

Imps9 · 16/09/2014 18:55

Ooooooohhhh mmmmyyyyy gooooooodddd she is so mega uber gorgeous Maybe!!!! Look at those scrummy chubby legs! And she clearly loves shopping which is helpful!

V pleased things are feeling pos in the Far household! Best get shagging then for a FUFC BFP :)

6 months Solars (and Maybe!) Time runs away, huh.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 16/09/2014 22:15

Hey all, sorry not read back, just reporting in that I've seen the beautiful Geek today, I've passed on all your love and thoughts and she said I can tell you she's doing ok after a very painful couple of weeks, she hopes you all understand why she can't come here but she's still a regular on other threads so say hi when you see her :) she sends much love to everyone xx

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 16/09/2014 22:15

She also said thanks for your kindness!

Imps9 · 17/09/2014 09:23

Oh Boo I'm glad you saw Geek and that she's doing okay. Have they had the chance to think about next steps? Poor poor Mr and Mrs Geek - it must be so painful for them. I hope beyond hope she will be on here with good news soon. Thanks

farfallarocks · 17/09/2014 09:36

maybe that is a really sweet baby you have there, quick, order another one!!

solars, we saw Dr kiriki, it has come back to me.

geek if you are reading this, we are thinking of you. Where can we find her boo?

OP posts:
NoMaybeAboutIt · 18/09/2014 09:18

Thanks Imps and Far! I'd have another now if I could Smile

So pleased Geek is ok Boo, I'm going to hunt her down on another thread

How you feeling Imps? Any more symptoms?!

How is MrFar feeling about the IVF Far?

farfallarocks · 18/09/2014 10:28

Mr far is feeling very upbeat and positive, we both are. Having said he would never do IVF 2 months ago we have certainly made progress!
The fact the pressure is now off to dtd at the right times feels great and we are having fun again! Its our anniversary this weekend and we are having a rare night away (thanks to the in laws) which I think will be good for us! Sadly does not coincide with a nice fertile period but you can't have everything in life!!

imps how are those norks?

OP posts:
Imps9 · 18/09/2014 11:16

Oh Far there's something brilliant about the sexy time returning to normal. NPS (No Pressure Shagging) is the best.

So symptom-wise - constant thirst, slightly sore norks, dizziness here and there. Nothing very exciting really. This morning's test seem to be where they should be, so that's good. Will see what happens over the next 2 weeks and then go to GP - will be 7 weeks then (hopefully).

W are jolly well going to get pregnant this month and we're brooking no argument - all rat smackers past, present and future welcome!
Solars · 18/09/2014 16:09

Sending you and MrGeek lots of love Geek. Really hope to hear from you soon with some good news.

Maybe she is truly scrumptious!! I too want another one, but not sure it will happen naturally at all and not sure we want to go thru ivf again....

Imps those sticks are looking very healthy!! Will you be thinking of getting an early scan?

Far Dr Keriki(sp?) is really good, he always takes the time with you to go through everything, a couple of the other doctors have a reputation of quite bad bed side manners but having said that they are all really good!

farfallarocks · 19/09/2014 09:26

imps check out those sticks, your line is so much darker than the control line! Very satisfying my lovely.

solars thanks for that, yes I really liked him, imagine I will see a few when we go through this process. Go on, you can do it again, because its not that bad is it??

OP posts:
Imps9 · 19/09/2014 10:10

Solars how did the IVF go for you? Were there any particular problems?

Not sure about early scan - despite the worries we're quite chilled about things and are willing just to go with the flow. We're on holiday from 7 Nov to 14 Nov and I think I will be 12 weeks on 7 Nov - so if the NHS can't fit us in for a scan before then I think we will go for a private one. WOuld like to know either way while we're on holiday!

Far what are you up to for your anniversary? How many years?
