I've heard of people using OPK as a pregnancy test. Does this work?

As a POAS addict, on cd32, awaiting either AF or BFP, I thought I would try this, with one of those internet cheapy OPKs with the green end.

There is a line, it's pale but obvious. Shock I didn't get a line on the cheapy pregnancy test I tried first thing this morning, but I dipped another one at the same time I dipped the OPK and there might be a faint line. The pregnancy test is a differnt cheapo brand to the cheapo OPK stick.

I am 12dpo. Should I go out and buy a posh test?

I've been wondering the same thing. Have been getting BFNs but my ovulation line is really faint on the test but I'm expecting to be ovulating right now so thought it would be darker. So was wondering if maybe I'm in the early stages that won't pick up on a test or whether I'm just not ovulating yet because it's only my first month off the pill.

I only tried it out of curiosity because I am obsessed, and I had what I thought might be an implantaion bleed on monday.

Live POAS update: I've found a supermarkets own pregnancy test in my drawer. Just dipped the wee, I couldn't wait until first thing in morning.

Going to go and have a look at it now......

And????

cowbiscuits · 14/08/2014 12:25

OMG. I think there might be a very very faint line. But I might be being hopeful. I'm going out to buy some more tests.

Thanks sunbathingcat.

I used that brand of OPK but a different cheapy pregnancy test. The OPK clearly had two lines, the pregnancy one (stick seemed thinner and cheaper) didn't. The supermarket one was very faint but I don't think it was evap line, but couldve been in my head. Off out to buy more tests, and will test tomorrrow first thing if still unsure.
