Does anyone know if there have been any recent threads on underactive thyroid, taking thyroxine, and trying to conceive? I won't go into all the details, but basically I've been trying to conceive for a long time, was recently diagnosed with a very underactive thyroid and started treatment. Does this make any difference at all to fertility (everything on the internet seems to contradict itself!) any opinion?
Also, what on earth is going on - I've gone from having very irregular periods to having erratic periods every few weeks :-(
I have an appointment to see the endocrinologist in September, so I guess she'll check my levels (am taking 50mcg of levothyroxine)...
Meanwhile, any advice or tips or info would be SO gratefully received :-)
