Hi all

Can anyone tell me what a chemical pregnancy is and the signs and symptoms? Xxx

A chemical pregnancy is when the fertilised egg partially implants into the lining of the womb, just enough to give enough pregnancy hormones to give a positive reading on a HPT and then when you're due your AF, or a few days after you're due your AF, you have your period like normal, even though you got a positive HPT. It comes away because it wasn't implanted into the lining of your uterus properly.

The signs and symptoms are cramping, although some women don't get any cramping at all. And bleeding like your normal AF. Some women spot before they get their AF, so that might be a sign to watch out for.

Hope I've helped a bit :)

Hi jade

Thank you so much for your reply. Ive not been feeling right for the last few days. Really bloated, huge boobs and sore poas yesterday just out of interest and there was a faint line there but assumed it was a evap line as not strong at all and had to squint.
Dh and I have not been trying as was going to start this month.
This morning a took another ic and again a very faint line but I'm not sure if its a evap line and my af not due for few days.
Feeling confused. It took my months and months of trying for my dd and ds so this would be the biggest sock ever xx

Sounds like it could be a positive...! The best advice I can give you is to keep testing every day with FMU. You'll get more accurate results using FMU and if you are pregnant, you should see the line get darker every day :)
Coupled with the symptoms, it does sound promising. X
