I've been sexually active all month not sure when I ovulate I was due on today and had nothing.. I took two clear blue digital tests both negative but I feel they may be wrong coz I'm eating more and put on 3 pounds in two weeks. I get a sicky feeling and even when I eat I want more. I'm not sure if I have other symptoms part from the odd occasion stomach cramps that go away.. I've been stressing a bit just want to know your experiences.

A negative test can be wrong but a positive test can't

plinkyplonks · 07/09/2014 03:39

Please go to the doctors - you need to get checked out and all you're doing is delaying the inevitable. If you're not pregnant, and something else has gone wrong which will impact your future chance TTC you will be kicking yourself for waiting. Go to the Doctor's!

ohdearitshappeningtome · 07/09/2014 03:56

Have you been to your doctor?

Eastpoint · 07/09/2014 04:58

With my first pregnancy I didn't come up as pregnant until 8 weeks, I didn't drink during this time & stayed away from foods like rare meat & sushi. She's 16 now.

LoveBeingAwakeInTheNight · 07/09/2014 05:05

I think you should go to the gp now, they can do a blood test and rule out anything else

Luc1820 · 07/09/2014 21:39

I haven't been yet it's trying to fit it round my job and fiance as well as we work together in same place

I'm afraid no one on here can give you a definite answer as we aren't trained doctors. The only way you will know what is going on is if you go to your gp. Might be worth telling work you need afternoon off to go?

Luc1820 · 09/09/2014 22:17

I haven't been yet waiting for an appointment. I keep getting twinges of stomach ache and in the evenings I feel sick but don't want to be sick.

Luc1820 - Have you booked a Doctor's appointment in yet? I work in the same team as my DH - it was no problem getting time booked off. Strikes me that you may be delaying the inevitable as you've had nearly a month and still not managed to fit an appointment in yet. Do you want to be pregnant? Are you scared that the doctor might confirm you are?

plinkyplonks · 11/09/2014 22:02

Alternatively, you could just do what I did which is pay for a private scan - costs between £45 - £85, and you can get them done in a non hospital/doctor's environment. I managed to get mine booked in and scanned on the same day. May be a lot quicker than the doctor's route x

Luc1820 · 15/09/2014 09:02

I would like to be confirmed pregnant however seen as I have had no signs of anything then I just have this feeling that I'm not and will be disappointed if I went.

Plinkyplonks- did u know u were pregnant before u went to ur private scan.

plinkyplonks · 20/09/2014 21:35

Sorry for delay in replying - didn't see your response.

I did know I was pregnant this time around when I had my private scan.

However, in a previous pregnancy I was getting negative pregnancy results but no period. My doctor referred me over to hospital where I had a blood test and scan the same day.

Personally, if I was in your position, I'd book the afternoon off work and go and see the doctor. Alternatively, you could go to your local hospital walk in centre who would likely organise a blood test and scan for you on the day.

I'm sure if you wanted a private scan and explain the circumstances to them, they will be sympathetic and will still be happy to do the scan for you. Scan appt is typically 1 hour but scan itself takes less than 15 minutes.

Unfortunately, with how long this has been ongoing on for now - I think you could feel disapponted with the result either way. But if you aren't pregnant, then there could be underlying health issues that need to be investigated sooner rather than later. x

Luc1820 · 21/09/2014 20:37

I wouldn't be disappointed if I was pregnant it's just the not knowing...did u have any signs before your scan.

The chances are that you are not pregnant, but your GP will be happy to see you. Lots of other things can delay your period so you need to see a dcotor for a proper review and possibly blood tests.

Luc1820 · 25/09/2014 22:46

I know I should go see.doctor but I don't wanna hear that I'm not pregnant especially as today my fiancé.found out his sister is.pregnant.and struggles with money issues. It upsets me that I've been.trying and I'm not even.20 yet.

Hi luc my opinion FWIW is that you really need to go to the drs. To me it sounds like you are scared to find out a definite negative result but echoing the above, if you are not pregnant then there might be other issues and that the sooner you find out and have investigated the sooner you can start trying again.

If you are pregnant and it's been 3 months then you need it confirmed as you would need to start going for scans to check on the baby. For example past a certain point , they cannot check for certain abnormalities in a foetus ( hence there is a 12 week scan).

So either way pregnant and not pregnant you need to go to drs ASAP x

Luc if it is getting worse and no af then that is a sign something is wrong. Can h not speak to your work to get the time to go to your GP? I know you don't want to have a bfn but whatever it is is making you I'll and the longer you leave it the worse it will get. Hope you get it sorted soon Thanks

Poppypops83 · 08/10/2014 10:54

luc please don't take this the wrong way but there really isn't much we can say or do to give you the right answer or the answer you want to hear.

None of us are experts here but the general consensus is that you need to seek medical advice . You can potentially be making whatever it is worse by not getting help .

I would seriously urge you to go and see a doctor . You will not get a solution on here.

(Apologies for sounding blunt but I hope you take on everyone's advice)

Wish you all the best x
