Do people think this is a positive line or an evap?

Morning all! I was wondering what you guys think about this test. I'm 14 dpo and have been ttc for 8 months. In that time I've only had one other line on a test which was an evap on a blue dye. This line is much more visible than it is on the pics and it seems to be the same size as control line and pinkish. However there is condensation spots on the window. Could this cause an evap? Any advice welcome. Yesterday, I thought I saw a line on another test but convinced myself I was going mad!

The first picture is easier to see as its shadowed by the viewing window on the other but BFP for sure! FX it gets darker but thats pretty dark to be honest! xx

Siarie · 12/08/2014 08:14

Oh and congratulations xx

BiggerYellowTaxi · 12/08/2014 08:16

Yes, I see a pretty clear line on the first pic. Congratulations!

Mumof3xox · 12/08/2014 08:17

Looks like a line to me!

Penelope12 · 12/08/2014 08:21

Oh my god I am so excited! Thank you for your responses. It's an internet cheapie though, so I'd best get a digital to check before telling DH. :)

I would take that as a positive.

Mumof3xox · 12/08/2014 08:26

Quick get to the shop!

sebsmummy1 · 12/08/2014 08:28

Looks positive on my phone Grin

Penelope12 · 12/08/2014 10:01

Just done a tescos and first response test and both were bfn so guess this mornings was an evap after all :(

Mumof3xox · 12/08/2014 10:02

Oh no!

Perhaps wait a couple of days and use fmu?

MrsG12345 · 12/08/2014 10:04

I'd do some internet cheapies before you give up. You might get a bfp. Good luck xx

passmethewineplease · 12/08/2014 10:05

Definitely looks like a line to me. Also has colour on it from what I can see.

Don't lose hope, what sensitivity is the test you've posted?

Penelope12 · 12/08/2014 10:07

Yeah maybe, but I wouldn't have thought fmu would make that much difference at 14 dpo? This has definitely put me off internet cheapies

It looks too far over and I can't see because the shadow is in the way. Can you take another picture with the light shining the other way or is it too late?

Penelope12 · 12/08/2014 10:10

Think the sensitivity of the test was 10 ml but not 100 % sure. I have had two cups of tea this morning so not sure if that would have made any difference to other results.... Guess time will tell for sure as Af is due tomorrow.

Do another digital test in a couple of days using first wee. I thought the first test was positive - was this first morning wee?

Penelope12 · 12/08/2014 10:11

Hi Bertie I've thrown it away now but there should be two pics one facing each way.

OP posts:
BertieBotts · 12/08/2014 10:12

Oh hang on I was looking at the wrong picture.

Hard to tell because there is definitely a coloured line but it looks sort of fuzzy. But I thought evaporation lines happened after a long time?

Do you have pics of the other ones and of the one you thought you saw a line on??

Digitals are often less sensitive so bit of a con really.

Penelope12 · 12/08/2014 10:12

Yeah first test was fmu this morning. I have just taken the others recently.

OP posts:
Penelope12 · 12/08/2014 10:14

No, I've thrown all the other tests away but the first response and tescos were completely negative. I think I must have imagined the line on yesterday's

KneeQuestion · 12/08/2014 10:14

fmu would be IMO/E even more important at such an early [possible] stage.

Fingers crossed for you.

BertieBotts · 12/08/2014 10:22

Not necessarily, as it's still early. If AF hasn't arrived in 3/4 days try again. Good luck! :)

Rikalaily · 12/08/2014 10:31

I'd say it's not an evap, there's definite pink colour to it. Test again in the morning with FMU. That's as dark as the ones I had in June with internet cheapies, they don't seem to have much dye in them these days. I did a cheapie pink dye and a clearblue blue dye at the same time a few days after my BFP and the clearblue line was much more obvious.

I went on to miscarry and the cheapies were showing neg before the CB blue dye ones which shouldn't have been possible considering the cheapies were 10miu and the clearblue were 20 or 25miu. I used two different brands of IC ones and they both seemed a lot less sensitive than they should have been. I won't be using them anymore. Even when I got a pregnant 1-2 on a digi I was getting squinters with the IC tests.

Superdrug tests are good, get some of those and retest.
