2 day implantation dip?

FizzyBoobly · 12/08/2014 07:07

So after some major symptom sporting the last few months I decided to start charting/temping so not sure what my usual is yet.

Anyway, yesterday was 8dpo and I woke to a big temp dip. Few hours later I had a small amount of spotting, and I remembered that during the night I had woken up with a sharp pain in my lower tum. Major implantation symptom spotting ahoy!

Woke this morning expecting a sharp rise but temp is almost same as yesterday. Is it possible to have a 2 day dip? Yesterday was CD25 out of a usual 30 so would be early for AF and I don't usually get spotting.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I've seen two day dips on FF, In fact I think I had the same as you yesterday evening (but at 5DPO). So I did a lot of chart looking and loads of people have dips at 5DPO, 6DPO, 7DPO and 8DPO. Some of those dips were two days then it goes back up.

I hope that helps?

sebsmummy1 · 12/08/2014 08:30

I think it looks hopeful. Fingers crossed for you xx

Thank you both! Just been feeling really stupid as realised I'd nicked myself in shower yesterday whilst doing bikini line which would explain the spotting... But have had a bit more this morning in my cm. Aaargh must stop fixating.

Fingers crossed for a BFP for you Siarie!

eeekkk, fizzyboobly have u tested this morning? (sorry to barge in on your post) :)

FizzyBoobly · 13/08/2014 08:21

Barge away! No, assuming tests arrive today will be testing tomorrow. Am on thyroid meds which would need increasing as soon as I get a BFP so that gives me an excuse to test early Grin

  • woo hoo, hope they arrive today then. eeekk, how exciting

(ps: im on thyroid meds too, they kept eye on my levels in previous pregnancies on a monthly basis)

good luck - will keep an eye on this post :)

FizzyBoobly · 14/08/2014 06:53

Thanks Bessie, it's good to hear they keep an eye on you. Just tested and it's a BFN, although I'm only 11dpo so it could be too early. Or AF might show up at the weekend

Scrap that last post, DH has been squinting at it and reckons he can see a super faint line, I'm not so sure but then my eyesight isn't the best. Still calling it a BFN but will test again tomorrow...

have you tested with a super sensitive test? (first response?)

your not out yet hunny, keep in there...... good luck.... keeping an eye on your news .....x

Siarie · 14/08/2014 09:27

bessie how much did they increase your meds by? I'm also on thyroid meds, I actually just had an increase to try and balance it out but I'm wondering how much the doctors increase it when you get your BFP?

FizzyBoobly · 14/08/2014 11:25

Used eBay cheapie but it's 10mlU so pretty sensitive I think, dunno if a FRER would be any better?? Been staring at the test all morning trying to convince myself there's a line!

Siarie, I'm currently on 75mcg of thyroxine and doctor said to increase to 100 once I get a BFP. From what I've read the standard is to go up by 25 (assuming you're on thyroxine that is)

i didnt have an increase til the end of my prenancies. i had my bloods done every month and i was stable til the end.

but was only upped by 25.

im on 100mcg now.

Siarie · 14/08/2014 11:44

Last week I was on 125mg a day but I have to do 150 and 125 on alternate days now as it was still too low. I guess mine will go up by about 25mg then when pregnant :/

Siarie · 14/08/2014 11:46

mcg even! I'm sure you know what I meant though haha.

bessie84 · 14/08/2014 12:15

its so important to get checked regularly tho ladies when pregnant, please do.

my first baby was stillborn at 42 weeks, 10 years ago this year - that was down to not even knowing i had underactive thyroid. was very poorly and lost her. i had all tests done after having her and thats what the conclusion was. 5 months later, i got pregnant with my son, my thyroid messed up at end and i had my dose upped..... hes now nearly 9, then took 4 years to conceive my girl, again, thyroid was checked every month, had it upped at end - shes nearly 5. now ttc a baby with my hubby who has no children, (my children are previous hubbys) and will get checked again regular.

get ya bloods done each month x

FizzyBoobly · 14/08/2014 14:39

Oh Bessie how terrible for you. Agreed, just shows how important it is

OP posts:
Siarie · 14/08/2014 14:46

I'm getting mine done every 6 weeks at the moment because it hasn't got to the recommended level almost just a tad low now, but once I get my BFP then I'll insist on regular checking.

FizzyBoobly · 15/08/2014 07:01

Hmmm, just tested again and stick looks same as yesterday's, (I can kind of see where a line would be but it could easily be an evaporation line)

Temp has dropped 0.3c since yesterday and I'm starting to feel a bit crampy, both of which could mean anything I guess

TBH I'd be fine if AF arrives as we were actually going to skip TTC this cycle because it would give an EDD of 10days before DDs birthday.

Will try and resist buying a FRER today but I can't promise anything Grin

For the last few days I've had the same squinter of a line on my internet cheapies, pee'd on a FRER this morning and got a very definite BFP straight away Grin

So moral of the story is, yes you can get a 2 day implantation dip! Good luck and baby dust to the rest of you!
