Medical management of MMC

I had a MMC diagnosed last Friday at 10 weeks, apparently it had happened only a couple of days before.

Chose medical management, took first pill Monday, did pessary Wednesday pm and plenty of pain and gunk by evening, took painkillers and went to bed. This morning very little pain and normal period amount of blood (I do have very heavy periods but still).

Worried it's not enough and I need to go back for another pessary. Anyone had a similar situation? How much blood is enough ? Also would they need me to go in or could they fax me a prescription? It's a long bus journey with a toddler.

Sorry to hear of your MMC ignominious. I had a MMC a few years back had I had the medical management too. I remember that sometime the pain was ok and then it got a bit worse and this lasted a good few days I think - so it was on and off a bit. Sorry I can't be of more use xxx

Thank you and you're right they did mention at the hospital (should have made notes). I feel like it is not really getting bad enough and it's had all day. Ugh I don't want an erpc as well!

Thanks for condolences and same to you!

Just thinking did they offer you a follow up scan. I remember going for a can perhaps a week after to check all was as it should be. If you haven't perhaps mention to GP? xx

Thank you, pain is a bit worse today but not enough, they've booked me in for a scan on Monday. I think the moral here is not to have a miscarriage on a Friday :/

Passed the sac! Yay! Will cancel tomorrow's scan and lie on the sofa feeling tragic.
