Could I be pregnant?

Hi All, this is my first thread on mumsnet. Looking forward to hearing some advice.

So my period came on 27th July and lasted a very unusual 2 days and was very light. I had cramp on the first day but not as heavily as usual. I took a test on the 30th a non branded one from semi chem and it gave me a very very faint 2nd line so I did a cb digital the next morning which said not pregnant. I have since taken another cb digital today and it was again not pregnant. I have been feeling nauseous today and had heavy diarrhoea.
Any ideas , do you think I could be pregnant?
I have a docs appt tomorrow so will take along a sample so try can test.

I imagine if you were pregnant the CB one would have picked it up by the time you were (possibly) 7 days late.

When I did you stop taking contraception, if at all? It can take 6 months for your periods to settle down. My period recently was only 2 days long but it was definately AF as it was dark brown and was light.

Spotting (indictating implantation or loss of a fertilised egg) happened to me once and then 2 days later my period came properly. Spotting was not like a light period but was only there when I wiped.

I'm sorry to say this but I do not think you are pregnant. We've all been there but I don't think it is. CB does require a lot of the HCG to detect pregnancy. If it makes you feel better buy a tesco cheapie and use that - the test the doctor will do isn't any better than the ones you buy at the shops.

Thankyou for your response. This is my feeling too although the faint line test still has me wondering. I haven't came off contraception, not used the pill etc for years now. My period is clockwork. 28 day cycle with 6 day period.

When I found out I was expecting cb digital told me "not pregnant" on the same day 2 diff tests gave me positives, took a cb digital a week later along with other test and yet again it said negative, you need to have a high level of the pregnancy hormone for cb to pick it up, that's why I took the other test! Superdrug a own make are very sensitive

I wonder about the faint line too - are you sure it isn't an evaporation line? I hope I'm wrong you know. [Smile]

I have read that evap lines are usually grey in colour as apprised to the pink die on the test. It seemed more pink but I'm not sure. Here is a picture ....

Could I be pregnant?

Oooh it does seem like there's something there, it is faint yet I can't really tell if its more purple or greyish on my screen. How soon after testing was the picture taken?

I'm not sure to be honest, I was in so much shock ha ha! Maybe about an hour before I took pic but line was there after like 10 mins x

I have used that brand of test, got a faint postitive aswell. I tested the next day with a frer bfp! Still pregnant 32 weeks later :)

I waited 4 more days and got a positive on a clear blue!
