Please forgive my total ignorance but I'm a bit of a newbie to the ttc game and I am trying to keep a better track of my cycles.
So my question is, do you count day one as the first day of your period and then the last day of that cycle is the first day of your following period, or the would it be the day before it starts??
Argh, even that description sounds confusing...Confused Confused

Day 1 is the first day of your period.

Day 1 of your next cycle is the first day of that period.

So by definition the last day of your cycle is the day before your next period starts.

Example:

First day of period - 1st July
Fist day of next period - 29th July

Last day of cycle was therefore 28th July, which equals Day 28.

Perfect, thanks for the explanation Waffle Smile
...I'm going to say this very quietly as not to jinx anything, but that puts me at day 30 and still no AF.
I am newly off the pill in the last few months but have been pretty much 28 days since.
Am I getting faaaar too ahead of myself and this could still just been down to the pill getting out of my system??

It could be. You could take a test to find out for sure.
