Here is the amazon link:

I've ordered it today as today is 12th month of trying after having AF. Has anyone used it or interested in using it? I like how it works it all out for you as I don't want to spend all that time stressing over learning how to chart myself. You poas when it tells you and insert the stick into the machine and it interprets it for you. Gives you a few high chance days and then the lh surge days. Measures oestrogen and lh. Also can test for pregnancy. You can input when you dtd too and a light and alarm can remind you.

I really like gadgets and technology anyway. If it works I don't care how much it costs. Anyone have any experience with it already? I don't think it's been put long.

Day 24 or 25 and I'm still getting highs. I re read my instructions and I have been peeing on the stick for way too long. In direct flow it's supposed to be 3 secs and I thought it was 15 - but that's only if you dip. Wondering if that is why I have missed my peak?

Also read that once you get a high reading the machine will continue to give you high readings until it gets a peak - hence why on day 25 I'm still getting highs. Feel that's a bit of a con - does the machine actually read the sticks??? On a positive the tww is going quickly cos I never knew if/when it started.

croon979 · 06/10/2014 21:03

NowWhatsoWhat - I ordered sticks from amazon only.

Foxtrot - I always dipped with FMU as I read somewhere you get more accurate results that way. The other way is trickier as you can flood the sticks if they are in it for too long. I also read somewhere else that there is one particular side of the stick that is shiny and I think that if you hold the stick a certain way in your stream pee that the results also may be affected.

I think that sometimes the monitor takes 2/3 months on some girls before a peak is detected so you may wish to preserve. It is true that the monitor is likely to email on high for a set amount of time until a surge is detected. However you need the surge to get the peak.

Katybear123 · 09/10/2014 19:52

Evening ladies, loads to catch up on. I have a quick q though do ur ovulation days change? I am on cycle 2 using cbfm. Today is cd13 and I got a low, last month I got a high on cd13. Is it normal for things to change does anyone know? Feel like I'm prob about to get a high, any advice great fully received

Teakind · 09/10/2014 21:37

hello all, do you mind if I join you? This is my first month using the CBFM and i'm on CD23 and have had 9 highs and no peak. I'm also finding the daily weeing on sticks is making this cycle feel really long (i'm on cycle 6 in total). Also like some of you, i struggle not get up to use the loo in the night so am worried about diluting the samples.

Katybear123 · 09/10/2014 21:40

Hey tea kind welcome. Do u wee in a cup at night this is what I do have been trying to limit my drinking at night to limit weeing not sure been to gd at it tonight

Teakind · 09/10/2014 21:45

hi katybear. Yes i do and i then leave it there until i properly get up. Do you thinking leaving it could be messing with the results? I don't fancy trying to use the machine at 3/4am as i'd probably properly wake myself up and i get up at 6 anyway. Good idea with the limiting liquids, i must try that!

Katybear123 · 09/10/2014 21:53

Hey tea kind, so I'm not an expert as this is only cycle 2. But cycle 1 I got up at 3-4ish most days a pea'd in cup and then tested in morning. Cbfm gave me a high cd13-16, peak cd17 and 18 and peak cd19 so worked perfectly so on this basis I think ur fine.
This is cycle 2 using monitor cd13 today and no peak yet though body feel speak like so maybe it will arrive tomoz.

croon979 · 09/10/2014 22:44

Katybear, would say that the fact that you have a low on CD13 is a good thing. I got only highs on the first month starting from CD9. The next month (and successful month for BFP) I got more accurate readings as monitor had me dissed. So that month I only got high readings later on into the month.

NowWhatSoWhat · 10/10/2014 07:42

I have a gynae appointment next week (joy of joys), following up on blood tests. Having had one before a few years back (when I wasn't seriously ttc, just wondering where my period sometimes disappeared and why cycles were so long) I'm dreading this one.

Katybear123 · 10/10/2014 19:23

Interesting croon, cd14 here still no high. Last month had peak cd17 and 18 so finding it a bit odd?

Joey0805 · 11/10/2014 16:46

Hi! This is my first month using CBFM. My cycles are still settling after coming off the pill but before the pill they were a mere 21 days long., yesterday, CD6 I got a low reading and today CD7 I got a high reading. I assume that with short cycles this is not unexpected / unusual?

Foxtrot7459 · 12/10/2014 15:51

Hi joey I've never had a low reading on CBFM in two cycles? 1st cycle started on cd6 with a high and second cycle started cd9 as instructed with a high. I think it takes a while to get to know your cycles - I wouldn't worry about getting a high so early.

NowWhatSoWhat · 14/10/2014 17:14

Hey everyone, how are we all doing? Cycle 2 of cbfm has got off to a meh start for me. It asked for tests on Day 6 again, which surprised me as apart from anything else I have a llloooonnng cycle (36 days although last one was 43 days I think)

Anyway, Day 6 low. Day 7, 8 and 9 (today) high. ... So far so exact same as cycle 1 (1 low followed by 19 highs, no peak)

Trying to stay positive! hoping something interesting happens this month

Joey0805 · 14/10/2014 19:57

I'm now on day 5 of using it; 1 low and 4 highs. Given I have a short cycle I'm fx for a peak soon...

NowWhat - do u think it asked u to start on day 6 again because it "missed" a peak last month?

Also if it goes from low to high, does whatever has caused that mean there definitely will be an ovulation that month (vs people who just get low readings the whole month because there is no ovulation)?

NowWhatSoWhat · 14/10/2014 22:23

Good points, Joey. Here's hoping both of us get peaks this month

Teakind · 15/10/2014 11:30

Hi, I hope you get your peaks this month. I also didn't get a peak last month so hoping for one next month!

Do any if you have experience with the pregnancy test sticks they give you? I know they say not to read the sticks but I'm wondering if any of you have had any squinty type second lines on them?

croon979 · 15/10/2014 11:54

Hi Teakind - I tried to read the pregnancy sticks. When I first tested and got a bfn, there was no second line The second time I tested, I was convinced when i looked at the stick later on that I could see a v faint second line, but the monitor had said I was not pregnant. I tried a couple of days later and then got my first BFP, the stick had a stronger second line by then. Out of curiosity I tried a pregnancy stick the other day (would have been just over 6 weeks pregnant) and got a very strong thick blue second line. So although they say don't try and read the sticks, you actually can read them.

croon979 · 15/10/2014 11:59

Joey - in response to your question: "Also if it goes from low to high, does whatever has caused that mean there definitely will be an ovulation that month (vs people who just get low readings the whole month because there is no ovulation)?" - no, it does not definitely mean that and there are no guarantees. However, the fact that the monitor is now reading high suggests that it has detected a rise in estrone which will hopefully eventually trigger the LH surge that occurs prior to ovulation. So by you getting high days after low readings, it is looking good!

Joey0805 · 15/10/2014 12:27

'Eventually' being the key word - everything about TTC feels so slow! Thanks though Croon, that makes sense.

Teakind · 15/10/2014 13:15

Thanks Croon! That's really good to know and congrats on you bfp!

AF is due soon (and I really feel like she is on her way!) but I did get a barely there second line this morning. It's possible I'm just seeing things though! Just a waiting game now I guess.

LazyRohazy · 15/10/2014 14:07

Hello ladies. First time posting to this thread, but I have a CBAFM question and I was wondering whether anyone had any ideas:

This is my second month using it, and I've been TTC my second baby since June 2013 (have had two miscarriages in that time). My cycle has been regular the whole time: 30-31 days long, usually ovulating around CD18 or 19. Last month - my first with the monitor - that's exactly what happened:

Low readings CD6 - CD12
High readings CD13 - CD16
Peak readings CD17 and CD18
High reading CD19
Low reading CD20

I confirmed ovulation through BBT on CD18.

However, this month I've started testing on CD6 as instructed and it's already on High! Am I looking at an abnormally (for me) short cycle, or is this a random glitch? Anyone had a similar experience?

MaMaPo · 17/10/2014 04:45

Just bumping this thread as I ordered one of the new CBFMs yesterday and hope to have it soon enough to use this cycle. I will be back with questions, I bet, when I do start using it.

Good luck everyone!

Katybear123 · 17/10/2014 08:44

Hi lazy

Hmm I'm not sure on that. This is cycle 2 on cbfm for me. Cycle 1 I had loads of highs then peak then high the lows. Cycle 2 1 high 2 peaks 1 high and then it stopped wanting tests. It only asked me for tests from cd 9-18 this time which I was surprised about as I only got peak cd16 and 17 but hoping it just understands my cycles Grin. I guess only time will
