Iam don't worry honey, I was (and still am) the same. Try to stay positive. I can't use OPK's anymore - they stressed me out too much.

In fact - if anyone wants the rest of my OPK's PM me your address and I will pop them in the post for you. I bought them from Amazon I think. I can let you know what make they are when I get home (as if that matters!)

Siarie · 05/08/2014 16:20

Got my positive OPK for this month today, I knew it was coming due to my CM though. Had a big dip in temp today too so should ovulate this evening or tomorrow I hope.

Perfect timing for BD so far here's my chat if anyone's interested.

Sorry to hear you don't get on with OPK tests mac I find them to be reassuring myself. I watch for the other signs but I do like seeing a positive OPK at the right time. Xx

macmissy · 05/08/2014 16:23

We DTD pretty much every day anyway Siarie so it added pressure when there doesn;t need to be one I think (for us anyway) :)

Ducky23 · 05/08/2014 16:53

Cp we had a private scan a few weeks ago and he was all too happy to show us he was a boy so we already knew Smile

Cupcake, I had the cramps too and was terrified! I had them for a few weeks, apparently it's everything stretching Grin

Me, fingers crossed!!!!!

Iam, hope you get your smiley soon Smile

Well everything went ace at the scan, he measured perfect for his dates and all his bits and bobs were forming perfectly, he was very keen to show us his bits again Grin but he would not have his picture taken! The sonogropher sent me for a walk and even had a good poke of my belly but he wasn't having any of it! We have lot of pics from private scans and stuff so didn't mind too much but we got some free pics of him wiggling around Smile

Not too happy with the hospital, before we got pg, they promised all this extra care, now they are taking future scans away willy (Grin) nilly and have decided I no longer need to see a consultant Angry as I'm coming up to the time that something went wrong with dd I'm not happy about that but my mw said she is on the case and is going to sort it.

macmissy · 05/08/2014 17:02

Ace news Ducky I have been thinking of you x

LuluJakey1 · 05/08/2014 17:04

Awww Ducky that is good news about the scan- really pleased for you.
You'd think the hospital would keep their word about the other scans- given how anxious you are bound to be. Your midwife might be able to sort it out.

Tylastar · 05/08/2014 17:31

Hi ladies! Everything sounds happy round here :)

me good luck on the 2ww!
iam my friends have all gave birth in the last two months and another has twins on the way soon so I've been surrounded by it!
ducky so happy that everything's going well :)

I've been having an aches and pains day I've got pain in my back, right hip and knee. Trying not to take any painkillers though just incase!

Me624 · 05/08/2014 18:29

Ah ducky glad you scan went well!

Iamdivergent I'm having that ATM too. One of my best friends last week (her dc2) and then at the weekend my BIL's brother - they've only been married a couple of months so didn't hang around! Our time will come though!

LuluJakey1 · 05/08/2014 19:34

Me and Iam - just about all of our friends have children. We just wanted to wait. People have kept asking for the last couple of years.

DH's grandmas have been asking us since the wedding 5 yrs ago!
One of them, who is deaf and speaks very loudly, said to MIL- while DH and I were in the kitchen next door, about a year ago 'Why aren't they getting on with it? Is there something wrong with them do you think?'
DH went in and said, cheekily , 'Grandma, we're just practising at the minute. I'll let you know when we are really trying'. She laughed and shook her head- which is often their response to him.

Apparently they are both knitting like mad.

iamdivergent · 05/08/2014 19:46

Thanks all Thanks

I feel like I am selfish because I already have 2 dds when there are people who don't have any and here I am moaning! Blush

ducky so glad your scan went well Smile
cupcake it's just your ligaments stretching, I used to get itchy too at the start! Grin

we'll get there with our bfps I know it! Smile

Ducky great news about your scan. How exciting!

Lulu thats so funny about the grandmas! I love hand knitted baby clothes I still have loads from when Dd was born, everyone was knitting for me.

Me good luck for tww. Lets keep our fingers crossed for the both of us Wink and Im sorry but I have already started symptom spotting (sorry) tmi but my boobs hurt so much which is the first symptom i noticed in my previous pregnancy

I am I know how you feel. Lots of my friends have babies now, I was the first of my group when I had Dd and now they are all catching up. I have been broody for yrs its taken me a long time to talk dh round.

CP1299 · 05/08/2014 20:37

Ducky how exciting!!! My parents would love a grandson as they have 4 grand daughters!!! Hehe.

I don't care what I get. Just want one!

I knew I wouldn't be calm about TTC as I am a planner, very impatient and I like to have control over my life. And I have no real control about this. Also I have had operations for fibroids and still have them. Sigh.

DH is being wonderful though. Tries to keep my spirits up with silly jokes.

Trying to stay positive and look forward to my holiday in less than 2 weeks. I always feel grumpy during AF.

LuluJakey1 · 05/08/2014 21:05

CP- that is nice of DH being so supportive.

You will feel better when you get a break from work.Less than two weeks isn't so long to wait! Are you going away?

I have fibroids as well but the consultant I see every year- after dodgy smear tests and treatment- tells me more than 50% of women have them by 35 and that figure just increases. I haven't had any treatment for them, they are small and don't cause me any problems.

It is my 20 week scan next week on Thursday. Not sure whether we want to know if it is a boy or girl. Don't mind- just want it to be healthy.

Cupcake92 · 05/08/2014 21:05

Ducky that's brilliant news!! Woo!!! Grin
And I hope ur midwife pushes for extra care! U need to feel looked after both u and baby. Sometimes they are so selfish :( but u keep pushing for that extra care u deserve it!

And so glad all these cramps seem normal!
Can't wait to see my midwife :) I'm just praying she'll support me in a VBAC and not push a csection on me :( I think that's what scares me the most about this pregnancy. I'm so scared that I might have to have a csection again. N with a newborn and DS I just won't be able to cope after. It's so painful and it ruined my birth experience and the first few weeks of my sons life, as I didn't feel myself and was depressed. I'm so determined to VBAC! I WILL do it!!!

CP1299 · 05/08/2014 21:50

Lulujakey that is reassuring. My first op I had really large ones removed and then I had a second op as they had implanted endometrial tissue into the myomectomy scar- so basically this tissue was responding to the menstrual cycle too (scar endometrioma). Needed to have that removed. A few years after a laparoscopy ruled out endometriosis. Thank goodness as fibroids and endo would be too much!

I still have remaining fibroids though but all less than 2cm so they are leaving them alone. I was actually on the mirena to control my heavy periods (which it did although they never stopped completely) and not for contraception. Oh how I miss that mirena now!! This AF is hell.

But good luck with your scan. Very very exciting!! :-)

Ducky23 · 05/08/2014 22:04

Thanks guys Smile

Cupcake I hope she supports you in your decision! I found out the hard way that some of these health care people are bloody heartless and rude but your midwife is a nice one isn't she?

Good luck for the scan lulu! Grin Is DH bothered about finding out the sex? I'm just too impatient lol Grin

Cupcake92 · 05/08/2014 22:10

Ooo good luck lulu!! :D I'm impatient too and will be having. A private scan at 16 weeks to find out Haha :p
Can't believe ur all reaching 20 weeks !!! That's crazy! I remember hearing about u all getting bfps !! Exciting!

Yes Ducky she's a nice one :) so hopefully she'll support me.
The consultants don't try and push things like that do they?

LuluJakey1 · 05/08/2014 22:18

Ducky He is like me; one minute he wants to know, the next he wants it to be a surprise. I think it would be easier to know for clothe and colours and things but then he said if we buy neutral things, we can use them next time whatever the next one is seems to have forgotten that conception, particularly at our age is not a given and might not happen

I can't believe that in two weeks this pregnancy will be half over. My friend who is 36 weeks says the second half seems longer.

LuluJakey1 · 05/08/2014 22:22

At the hospital clinic I go to, you see a named midwife but not necessarily the one who will be there when you have the baby. Is that the same with you Ducky and Cupcake?

Cupcake92 · 05/08/2014 23:05

Lulu I see my midwife at my doctors surgery. I only see her for appointments she won't be there when I give birth. But she will do my home visits once baby is born :)

LuluJakey1 · 05/08/2014 23:15

I think it is just luck at the hospital whether or not the one you see is on duty when you give birth. She said she could be. She is very nice, the few times I have met her.

Ducky23 · 06/08/2014 06:39

Cupcake I think it depends on your consultant, mine can be a bit of a push over lol! But id say change consultant if they won't support you.

Lulu I see my midwife at the gp surgery, a lot of the time at the hospital I see te same midwife too (but not my midwife), luckily I wa allowed to hand pick a lot of my care providers, it will also be arranged that my mw is there when I give birth due to some awful treatment I received last time I gave birth

Cupcake92 · 06/08/2014 07:08

I'd deffo change consultant if they don't support my decision then :)

Ducky that'll be lovely to have ur midwife there for the birth :) id love it if mine were there as I know she'd lovingly shout me through it haha!

I can't believe its DS's 1st birthday a week today :( can't believe a years gone already. Far too quick!
I also have my midwife appt 2 weeks today! :D yay!

Ducky23 · 06/08/2014 07:17

I know Grin shel look out for me.

Aww are you doing anything for it?

Is it your booking appt? I loved getting my green notes Grin

I can't wait to pack my hospital bag Confused wonder when I can get away with doing it without looking like a wierdo!
