macmissy · 04/08/2014 17:01

Thanks ladies

I feel ok today to be honest Ducky, it hit me on Saturday I think & in the morning when I was so heavy it was upsetting then, but now I feel ok - how long that lasts is another matter, but we'll see.

I have been in this situation before - the only difference the other 2 times is that I didn't know I was pg before I mc - so knowing about it now is a little different. I do worry that I won't be able to have children, but we'll see - I am hopeful that I am fertile as hell this month (which I know happens when you have given birth or MC) so it works quick sharp! Haha!

I have a lot going on to lift my spirits, my OH gave me my anniversary pressie early & the great wedding dress hunt - which is an absolute mine field - but it's a huge positive distraction anyway!

Less of me - how are you!?

xx

macmissy · 04/08/2014 17:07

I am Poppet you have to be don't you! I have an amazing OH, family & friends so I am in good hands - I just need a lot of distraction I think! No point in dwelling, I just need to remember my own advice at times and not worry :)

poppet85 · 04/08/2014 17:16

Such a lovely approach to life !! Sounds like you have a wonderful oh and enjoy dress shopping make sure you try them all on !

macmissy · 04/08/2014 17:30

I was pretty nervous about going on Saturday as I was pretty heavy - but I went anyway and so glad I did - she had m e in 9 dresses in 30 minutes and now I know what suits me and what I need to go for - such a good experience! I still don't really like wedding dresses mind! Haha

poppet85 · 04/08/2014 17:46

When I was looking I found them all to be a bit samey and pretty dresses but nothing AMAZING ! Trying dresses on is the best thing though !

Ducky23 · 04/08/2014 18:27

That sounds lovely poppet!!! Grin

I loved mine, it had long thick red ribbons coming down te back Smile was only £60!

LuluJakey1 · 04/08/2014 18:32

That's a lovely idea Poppet.

Mine was made by my best friend. I bought the lace in a market in France for a pittance. It was based on this and she did a fantastic job. It was quite simple- no corseting, frills or flounces or anything. No veil, train or beads or anything. Sleeves were slighty longer and fitted- elbow length. It is still in the wardrobe. Cost less than £200. SIL has asked if she can wear it if she ever gets married Grin

Hi ladies!

Sorry for u mac, fx you will get a bfp soon!!
Welcome to all the new ttc girls :)

I'm back from my little trop to Italy :)
Like you lulu, we had a lovely weather and spent a great time! My DH had his 29 Birthday yesterday, we went in a gorgeous restaurant and we abused of the delicious food... DH said I had to taste a bit of everything because he wanted his baby to appreciate the italian food... :) :) :)

Me624 · 04/08/2014 19:26

Sorry to hear your news mac. Is there anything the doctors can do to try and prevent it happening again? Fingers crossed for you next month.

I loved wedding dress shopping! Though had a very specifi idea in mind of what I wanted so I didn't try that many on as lots didn't fit my ideal. I remember the first time I tried on a veil, having thought I wouldn't want one ... I was like oh I'm a Disney princess! Definitely having one ...

LuluJakey1 · 04/08/2014 20:01

Hi Steph, I ate loads too but I reckon all the walking will have balanced the patisserie visits out. I didn't have cheeses unless they were pasteurised 'cos I just wasn't sure but it killed me to not eat them. The ice cream- I was such a greedy guts. I will face the scales in the morning.

It seems like a long time ago already.

LuluJakey1 · 04/08/2014 20:04

mac Do they try to find out why it has happened once you have had more than one MC in a row? Have they all been early? You are amazingly strong I think. Good luck for next time.

Ducky23 · 04/08/2014 20:17

I think it's 3 in a row and they will look? But surely you could push your gp if they say no?

Tbh, when I had dd, I found them very heartless and it was like they weren't bothered about finding a reason for it. I have had to fight for extra care but with enough you will get what you want. I hope they treat you better mac.

I have heard you are extra fertile after a loss or birth, really hope it happens quickly for you.

Could you speak to your gp about possibly taking aspirin once you are pg? I heard that this can help with reoccurring miscarriages, don't take my word though obviously I am not a dr! I am on aspirin at the mo.

Cupcake92 · 04/08/2014 20:35

I spoke way too soon about the sickness. It's back!
Been feeling very nauseous all afternoon and have a bad lower back to go with it.
I don't know why I get bad back so early in pregnancy :s it happened with DS as well I had it till about 9/10 weeks then it went and came back at the end lol :p

LuluJakey1 · 04/08/2014 20:56

Hello Cupcake. I was hoping the sickness had gone for good. Sad Hope it stops soon. Mine stopped quite quickly. Does anything help?

Siarie · 04/08/2014 21:15

Sorry to hear about the MC mac, it sucks but I'm sure you'll get your sticky bean.

I think I'm near ovulation as I got some EWCM this evening and a headache which I got two days before ovulation, one day before really EWCM last month. So hopefully I'll be in my two week wait by the end of this week.

My book came today so I'm slowly making my way through that :)

macmissy · 04/08/2014 21:18

Lulu I'm very jealous, I'd love to do Paris! Steph where did you go in Italy? that's where we want to go honeymooning!

THAT dress! it's lush Grin

ducky I don't know if it's the style out what, I will just try on tons and see what happens!

love the idea of using bits of it for other things. I really want to be able to detach the skirt as i've seen a lovely skirt and top combo which I would have to change slightly as the style of it doesn't suit me at all, the waist is too high as it is.

Me - not sure as yet. I had a MC 14 years ago, then 10 year ago (both accidents) this is my first whilst actually trying. I'm at the doctors on the 14th so I'll find out then.

I don't think I'm going to have a veil to be honest. I have my shoes already! haha!

oh Ducky! get drinking ginger tea or eating a biscuit! stat!!

sorry about the jumping about in my post, it's all over the place! haha
