Ovulation test confusion, please help :)

Hello, I was wondering if someone could advise me please?
I did an ovulation test yesterday and the test line was darker than the control window, I tested again today around the same time as yesterday, but the line was not as dark today, so does that mean I am likely to have already ovulated?

It measures the hormone surge you get before ovulation, I think you should expect to ovulate around 12-24 hours after the start of the hormone surge.
