Acupuncture

Hi everyone,

I am been TTC for a few months now and as I was a little concerned about having a slightly short luteal phase (10 days), I thought I would try a course of acupuncture to try to lengthen it. I went for my first session on the last day of my last cycle and, while the session itself was fine, even enjoyable, I felt terrible afterwards. For an entire week, I was absolutely exhausted, my concentration at work was almost nonexistent and I had constant cravings for sugary and salty food, something that is very unusual for me. As a result, I cancelled the upcoming appointment I had made and decided that acupuncture just wasnt for me.

However, I am now back to normal and on CD14 of my current cycle and have noticed that my BBT is unusually consistent; in previous months, it was constantly jumping up and down and even the temperature shift was a little unclear, but this month , my temperature has been 36 or 36.1 degrees every morning. The only thing I can attribute this to is the acupuncture.

So at this point I think that, if I dont get a BFP this month, I might try the acupuncture again next month and hope the side effects subside after a treatment or two.

Im wondering if anyone else has tried acupuncture and had a similar experience, and whether you decided to go back for more!
Thanks,
