Just a strange period oe somthing else?

I am new to this so please excuse my mistakes.

I need a little advice... I was due to come on my AF today or the next 3 days depending on my cycle being 28/30 days long but came on 3-5 days early, no pains, just suddenly came on it lasted from Sun night and ended last night so around 3/4 days. my confusion is that it wasn't a normal period for me, it was just pink/bright red blood it started off v.light then got heavy enough to wear a pad but not fill one, no clotting or mucus of any kind and then just went v.light again and then stopped. I didn't get emotional like I normally do either and had no cramping. The other thing was I got really sore nipples for about 2/3 days before it started much more than I normally do.

Hubby and I have been ttc for about 6 months could this be something to do with that? did a test but its neg.

Any advice or opinions would be very helpful.

Maybe try testing again in a few days. My AF came early once & wasn't a proper period like normal it was a tiny bit of spotting with no proper bleed compared to my normal very heavy periods & it turned out I was pregnant with DD. Don't want to build your hopes up but you never know.

I tested this morning after the spotting finally stopped last night but it came out Neg maybe too early to test. I had another look on the net but each and every time I put in a search about it, it just comes up with bleeding in early pregnancy or implantation bleeding. (maybe I should stop searching now lol) will buy some more tests later and try again over the next few days. Thanks for your reply xxx

Yes it could be too early to test, i didn't know anything about implantation bleeding & didn't look up anything up on the net so I was more than 6 weeks gone when I tested, but I decided I had to have a Clearblue digital to make sure I got correct answer.

aw well there is hope then I guess, I didn't know anything about it either till I got this weird period, now I'm non the wiser really haha! half the people say its so rare they very much doubt it was anything but a strange period but then there's the other half of people saying they have experienced it themselves. well I guess I will just have to play the waiting game and see.

I had this 2 weeks ago, exactly the same as you described except mine was 7 days early. Normally have really regular periods so I was Googling about implantation bleeding etc.

Sadly I am definitely not pregnant this time. I wondered if it might be a chemical pregnancy but it's difficult to know for sure. On to the next month...

I have had a period which was a week early before but was a normal period (clotting, changing of colour etc.) but this one was 3-5 early but totally just went from v.light to bright red to pink spotting. no clots. no dark blood. A v strange period for me nothing like i've had before. Well to update the spotting seems to have completely stopped now. I'm not really getting any kind of other symptoms other than I had a few spikey pains last night and a little aching in the lower area but that's stopped now too.
The mystery goes on! haha

I sometes have weird periods too and put them down to age/dodgy cycles.

Yerh im leaning more that way now, must have been a weird one! o well will take another test in a few days and if neg then onto trying again xx

I was literally jusrt about to post about this when i saw your thread OB30. So glad I'm not the only one.

Periods are either 27/28 days with lots of pain/warning. This month's came two days early after three days of spotting and no pain. It then randomly stopped dead two days later for a whole day only to get what i can only describe as a rushing feeling at work followed by a big gush (sorry! Tmi!). I'm meant to be finishing today only its still very red and liquidy. It just seems to stop for half a day then start up again. Now i have backache.

Lord knows what's going on. Never had anything like it. Anyone else had something similar?

Annoying isn't it! sorry for TMI but did yours have clots/lining or go dark at any point? are you ttc? mine was very intermittent too, I even had a thing where every time I went for a poo it would start up again but very light pink never had that before, now I am getting tiny tiny shades of pink in the discharge (sorry loads of tmi in this post)

I didn't have any pain either like you which is very unusual also I didn't feel emotional either. weird!

We've been trying for a couple of months and nada, which i'd told myself to expect.

I normally know what's going on with my body but it's totally thrown me. The spotting was pink/brown and then it came as red. Mine didn't have as many clots as normal but it did go dark for a little bit. To be honest I don't see how I can be pregnant as it was red blood, which i've heard is a bad sign. It was very watery but still bright red.

Are you certain you're not pg? It sounds like you have the right colour (as odd as that sounds!). We're totally the TMI queens today! x

I'm not certain i'm not prego but I did take a first response test on Sat morn so like 2 days ago and it was Neg so I am in the mind that I am not now and it was probably just an odd period I had! I am now determined to leave it now for a good week and then test one final time to be sure. Only as I am worried about drinking too much if I am that would be worrying and better to be safe then sorry.
