Doctors referal! ��

Hi, so I was referred by my doctor 3 weeks ago today to a specialist to have scans to see if I have PCOS and I still haven't received a letter? Is anyone else in the same situation? How long can I wait for a letter? ??

My scan was about 2 - 3 weeks after the doc told me I would be referred. It does massively vary by area though. Hope you don't have to wait too much longer...

I have PCOS, I knew it before the scan. Hence why I pushed for it. The diagnosis came about in a round about way and just bought forward TTC. Once down the scan route we were quickly pushed through the fertility route which I am grateful for as hearing from others on here they were trying for a year before getting a scan.
Maybe chase your GP, you never know it could be stuck with the receptionist?! Good luck!!

I'm pretty certain I have it too. I rang the doctors yesterday and they said they had sent a letter out, which I hadn't received, so they are sending out another so hopefully will be here next week so I can book an appointment. We have been trying for 3 years, but a lot had been going on in our lives so I had just guessed it was never a right time for us and believed that things happen for a reason. We are in a good situation now which is why we have gone to the gp and done test, I'm now just waiting for this test and see where we go from here.

Have you recently been for your scan and still TTC ? I don't know anyone who is going through what we are so will be nice to chat with someone who is going through it and get advice.

I waited 5 weeks for my appointment and had it back in May. I'm now waiting for a referral to a specialist after my blood tests came back that I don't have PCOS but am not ovulating

Hope you get your letter soon... Did you Dr give you a time line?

So have you seen the Gynaecology people? Or is that who your doctor is referring you to? I booked my appointment back in July now for my referral after finally receiving my letter after ringing my gp. It was an 8 week waiting list, so I have it late September. So just waiting for that , not really sure what to expect!
